Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) has organized an inspection of the implementation of the Joint Resolution on occupational safety and health in 2024.
Recently, the Group organized an inspection and assessment of the implementation of the Joint Resolution between the Group's General Director, TKV Trade Union and TKV Youth Union, TQN Union on the implementation of occupational safety and health work in 2024 at Khe Cham Coal Company - TKV and Cam Pha Port and Logistics Company - Vinacomin.
At the units, the inspection team led by Deputy Head of the Safety Board Nguyen Kim Can, members including representatives of the Safety Board, TKV Trade Union, Quang Ninh Coal Union (TQN) inspected the implementation of Joint Resolution No. 05 NQLT/TGĐ-CĐTKV-ĐTN dated January 16, 2024 between the General Director of the Group, TKV Trade Union and TKV Youth Union, TQN Union "On the implementation of occupational safety and health work in 2024" and Action Program No. 48/CTr-TKV dated April 5, 2021, Action Program No. 199/CTr-TKV dated September 25, 2023.

According to reports from units, occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) has always been given attention, especially in underground production. Units have promoted mechanization of production, implemented technical safety measures and improved working conditions, provided personal protective equipment, and taken care of workers' health; strengthened propaganda, education, and safety training; and implemented safety measures and targets for 2024.
At the same time, strengthen safety inspection and supervision; conduct regular, periodic, thematic and surprise inspections. During the on-site inspection and working with the units, Deputy Head of the Safety Department Nguyen Kim Can emphasized that occupational safety and health work has always been of special concern to the Group and its units, and is considered a top priority task. However, due to the specific nature of production, deep mining, geological changes, climate change, etc., in 2024, the situation of occupational accidents and incidents will become more complicated. Therefore, along with boosting production, the Group requires units to tighten occupational safety and health work to ensure safety in production.
Regarding the implementation of the Joint Resolution on Occupational Safety and Health in 2024, Deputy Head of the Occupational Safety and Health Department Nguyen Kim Can acknowledged that units have fully and promptly deployed documents and regulations of all levels, and instructions of TKV on occupational safety and health; performed well the work of occupational safety and health, improved travel conditions for miners, provided safety training, and provided health care for workers. At the same time, he requested units to immediately overcome existing limitations, strengthen propaganda, training, safety autonomy, and build a safety culture; maintain inspection, supervision, and early detection of risks and safety violations for handling, moving towards eliminating occupational accidents and incidents, ensuring safety in production.
Deputy Head of the Safety Department Nguyen Kim Can said that the Group organized a point inspection of 6 units of mines, warehouses, alumina and coal production, and Na Duong electricity to evaluate the implementation results, inspect the implementation of the Joint Resolution for the Company and construction site and workshop levels, and the remaining units sent reports to the Group. From there, the inspection team consulted with the Group's leaders, Trade Union organizations, and Youth Union in developing and implementing the Joint Resolution to carry out occupational safety and health work in 2025 with the goal of minimizing accidents and incidents, ensuring safety in production.
