Health test results from a person who received 217 Covid-19 vaccines 'for privacy reasons' have surprised medical experts.
The Guardian reported today, March 6, that a 62-year-old man in Germany had received 217 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine over the past 29 months.
However, surprisingly, this person never showed any signs of having Covid-19, and there were no recorded side effects from the overdose, according to research published in the Lancet Infectious Diseases journal.
Behind this report are scientists from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany). Accordingly, the man said he injected such a large number of vaccines for "private reasons".
WHO recommends Covid-19 vaccine and booster shot
The team said they had official confirmation of the 134 vaccines the 62-year-old man had received, which were grouped into eight different groups. Scientists also looked at the results of many previous blood tests the man had done, as well as taking new samples before he went on to receive further vaccines.
"There were no notable side effects observed, although this particular booster vaccination showed that the vaccine was well tolerated," said Dr Kilian Schober, a member of the research team.
In addition, this person's immune system was also confirmed to be functioning normally, without any changes.
According to the scientific team, some immune cells and antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the Covid-19 pandemic were present at significantly higher levels in the 62-year-old man's body, compared to those who only received three vaccines.
