Thai Binh province promotes investment and connects businesses in Shenzhen, China

On August 22, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province coordinated with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, the Guangdong-Canada Chamber of Commerce and the Shenzhen Trade and Service Association to organize an investment promotion conference in Thai Binh province in Shenzhen city, Guangdong province, China.

The conference took place within the framework of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee's working visit to China from August 21-24. Notably, the conference was held in Shenzhen, one of the major economic centers, a civilized city of the future, and the cultural capital of China.

Attending the conference to promote investment in Thai Binh province were Mr. Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thai Binh province, along with representatives of the Standing Committee, leaders of departments, branches and the two districts of Thai Thuy and Tien Hai, Consul General of Vietnam in Guangzhou Nguyen Viet Dung and many businesses from both sides.

Introducing the potential and advantages of attracting investment in Thai Binh province, the leader of the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the province informed that Thai Binh is a coastal plain province, located near the capital Hanoi, adjacent to Hai Phong city; connected to the airport and seaport systems in Hai Phong by the transportation systems that have been and are being invested in synchronously and modernly.

Not only has a favorable location, synchronous traffic connection, large land fund, Thai Binh also has a population of about 2 million people, of which over 1 million are of working age, highly skilled workers.

Currently, Thai Binh has 160 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of over 5 billion USD, including 21 direct investment projects of Chinese investors with a total registered investment capital of about 507 million USD, accounting for 13% of projects and 10% of investment capital compared to the total number of FDI projects in the province.

Speaking at the Conference, Vietnamese Consul General in Guangzhou Nguyen Viet Dung highly appreciated the potential, opportunities and outstanding achievements of Thai Binh in recent years.

At the same time, Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung commented that the Investment Promotion Conference in Thai Binh province in Shenzhen will increasingly strengthen the trade relations between Vietnam and China in general, and the two localities of Thai Binh and Guangdong in particular, bringing businesses from both sides closer to each other.

The Vietnamese Consul General in Guangzhou said that this is a good opportunity for businesses of the two countries to find partners for business cooperation, making practical contributions to promoting economic, trade and investment relations based on the principle of win-win between the parties.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ngo Dong Hai affirmed that the Conference on Investment Promotion in Thai Binh Province in Shenzhen is of great significance to the province, demonstrating the interest of Shenzhen organizations and enterprises in particular and China in general in the province's cooperation and investment environment in many fields.

With the vision, potential and development aspirations of Thai Binh, Provincial Party Secretary Ngo Dong Hai expressed his belief that the opportunities for cooperation with Shenzhen partners in particular and China in general in the coming time will be very open, diverse and practical.

At the same time, the Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee hopes to receive attention and soon welcome partners and enterprises from Shenzhen in particular, and China in general, to research, survey, cooperate, invest and do business in the province. Thai Binh province will direct relevant departments, branches and units to thoroughly answer each feedback from Chinese partners and enterprises at the conference.

On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Ngo Dong Hai expressed his sincere thanks to the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, the leaders of the Guangdong-Canada Chamber of Commerce and the Shenzhen Trade and Service Association for their coordination and support to Thai Binh province in organizing the conference, wishing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future in general, and the cooperative relationship between Thai Binh province and Shenzhen partners in particular to grow further.

At the conference, there were exchanges and questions answered by Shenzhen investors in particular and Chinese investors in general about investment licensing policies and procedures.

Leaders of Thai Binh province and representatives of several Chinese economic organizations witnessed the signing ceremony of the authorization contract between Next Group and Globe Wind; the signing of the agreement in principle for land and infrastructure sublease between Green i-Park Joint Stock Company and Up-Shine Lighting Company Limited.

On August 23, the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee delegation left Shenzhen to continue visiting and working in Shanghai.
