This morning, February 3, in Dien Sanh town, Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province, the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty - 2025 was held. Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Dao Manh Hung; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized that, following the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: "Spring is the season for tree planting, making the country more and more springy" and continuing the fine tradition of our nation, in recent years, every time Tet comes, Quang Tri province regularly maintains the tree planting and forest planting movement, contributing to the implementation of the country's commitments to the international community on environmental protection, sustainable development and effective response to climate change.
Over the past year, the province has implemented concentrated forest planting on over 12,000 hectares and over 3 million scattered trees; produced over 26 million quality forestry seedlings of all kinds to well organize concentrated forest planting.

The output of exploited and consumed planted forest wood reached about 1.2 million m3 , contributing to ensuring a stable supply of raw materials for the wood processing industry in and outside the province.
Forest coverage reached 49.4%, contributing to "green growth" and sustainable forestry development, stabilizing the ecological environment and landscape, and minimizing the consequences caused by climate change.
Faced with the complicated situation of natural disasters and increasing extreme climate phenomena, causing great damage to people and property, affecting people's lives, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong requested localities, agencies, units and all classes of people to actively respond and participate in the Spring Tree Planting Festival At Ty - 2025.

In particular, it is necessary to focus on organizing the "Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in accordance with the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and the direction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Focus on propaganda to raise people's awareness of the role, effects, value of forests, and the significance of tree planting and afforestation.
Mobilize all levels, sectors and people to actively participate in tree planting and afforestation, strictly implement forestry laws to contribute to protecting the ecological environment, mitigating natural disasters and adapting to climate change.
Organizing the Tree Planting Festival must be practical, become a cultural beauty, ensure effectiveness, and avoid ostentation.

Continue to effectively implement the Forestry Law and documents guiding the implementation of the Forestry Law. Thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the direction of the central and provincial governments on forest management, protection and development.
Localities continue to mobilize and integrate many resources, especially socialized resources, to effectively implement the One Billion Tree Planting Program for the 2021-2025 period, in conjunction with implementing targets and tasks for sustainable forestry development by 2030.
Implement well the management, protection and care of trees at the launch points of the Tet Tree Planting Campaign; prevent and fight forest fires during the dry season, combine exploitation with intensive reforestation to increase productivity and value of planted forests.

Promote the implementation of forms of cooperation, linkage in production, consumption of forest products, and benefit sharing in the forestry production and business chain.
