Ninh Binh Province solemnly held the 10th Anniversary Ceremony of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Central Committee, there was comrade Tran Luu Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Early recognition of the potential and cultural - historical, natural - ecological values, since 2001, the Party Committee, Government and People of Ninh Binh province have implemented an economic model shifting from "brown" to "green", focusing on developing tourism and services. Ninh Binh has focused on research and building a submission dossier, so that on June 25, 2014, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, with outstanding global values in: (1) The process of geological and geomorphological evolution representing the formation and construction of the earth's crust; (2) The aesthetics of the natural landscape that has existed for millions of years; (3) The process of settlement and continuous adaptation of humans over 30,000 years of history. After 10 years of being recognized as a World Heritage Site, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex has been evaluated by many organizations, experts and scientists as an exemplary model, a typical example of successfully combining economic development and sustainable tourism while still being able to respect nature, ensuring the harmony of interests of the people, the State and businesses; promoting the effectiveness of public-private cooperation.
