After that, Bac Ninh's export turnover recorded a slight decrease in 2019, reaching just over 34 billion USD, but still maintained its top 2 position.

At the end of 2020, Bac Ninh province's exports recovered, jumping to 39.1 billion USD, only 5.4 billion USD less than the top 1 exporter, Ho Chi Minh City.

In the following year (2021), Bac Ninh's export turnover suddenly increased sharply to 44.84 billion USD, about 40 million USD less than the top 1 exporter of Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2022, the province's exports reached nearly 45.1 billion USD, accounting for 12.1% of the country's total export turnover. At the same time, this is also the year that recorded a record high export turnover in Bac Ninh province.

In 2023-2024, the province's exports will decrease to 39.3 billion USD and 39 billion USD respectively. As a result, the locality's goods exports in 2023 will account for only 9.6% of the country's total export turnover, down 3.6% compared to 2015.

However, Bac Ninh province's position as the top 2 exporter has been maintained for the past decade. In 2025, Bac Ninh aims to export goods worth 41.7 billion USD.
