Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee issued a plan for 10th grade enrollment in the 2024-2025 school year with some changes compared to the previous school year.
Accordingly, candidates taking the entrance exam for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools will take three exams: Literature, Math and English. Thus, the entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools next year will reduce two subjects: Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry or Biology), Social Sciences (History, Geography or CivicEducation ).
Previously, the Department of Education and Training decided to randomly select 1 subject from Natural Sciences or Social Sciences.

According to the 10th grade entrance exam plan for the 2024-2025 school year, Literature will be in the form of an essay, with a test duration of 120 minutes. Math and English will be in the form of multiple choice, with test durations of 90 and 60 minutes, respectively. The exam content is within the scope of the secondary school curriculum issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, mainly in grade 9.
Admission to grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools and grade 10 of Hung Yen specialized high schools organize a common exam.
Candidates for Hung Yen Specialized High School take 4 exams, including 3 general exams with the entrance exam for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools and one specialized subject exam. Candidates registering for a specialized class must take the specialized subject exam.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned specific tasks to each department, branch, unit, district, town, and city in directing and organizing the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023 school year.
It is expected that the entrance exam for grade 10 in Hung Yen will take place in June 2024.
