General Secretary - a close and dear leader

I still remember clearly the instructions, directions and thoughtful gestures of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong when he visited and worked with Gia Sinh commune (January 20, 2014). At that time, I was the Secretary of the Gia Sinh Commune Party Committee and was honored to represent the commune leaders to report to the General Secretary on the results of implementing the Resolution of the Gia Sinh Commune Party Congress for the 2010-2015 term and implementing the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (11th tenure).

After listening to the situation report, the General Secretary raised issues that needed attention in implementing the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress, especially in socio-economic development, building the political system at the grassroots level, and invited a large number of cadres, party members, and people of Gia Sinh commune to give their opinions. In the presence of the General Secretary, the veterans and representatives of the people present in the hall that day did not hesitate to express their thoughts to the General Secretary.

Concluding the meeting, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong thanked the large number of people for their opinions, making the meeting almost like a small workshop with 4 levels of participation, everyone actively thinking about finding the next direction for Gia Sinh to develop.

The General Secretary assessed: The economic restructuring along with the improvement of people's lives in Gia Sinh is very commendable, but in order for Gia Sinh to develop strongly, we must respect the inherent internal strength of the homeland; at the same time, we must regularly summarize and supplement new experiences and lessons...

The General Secretary's closeness to the people and his extremely kind heart have helped our commune cadres to deeply understand the lesson of taking the people as the root, and from there, we vow to join hands, be united, determined to innovate, dare to think, dare to do to together build our homeland Gia Sinh to become increasingly prosperous.

With the efforts of the entire political system and the people, the appearance of the new rural area of Gia Sinh commune has changed significantly. The economic structure has shifted in a positive direction, the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved. The infrastructure system and technical infrastructure have been invested synchronously, spaciously and modernly. In 2022, Gia Sinh commune has achieved the advanced new rural standard.

In the coming time, we will continue to promote socio-economic development, pay attention to Party building work, strive to make Gia Sinh commune a model new-style rural commune, and build Gia Sinh into a truly livable countryside as the General Secretary believes and directs.

The General Secretary is like that, always simple, close, and affectionate. The passing of the General Secretary is a great loss for the Party and the Vietnamese people, but I believe that with his contributions to the Party, the State, and the people, the General Secretary will forever live in the hearts of cadres, party members, and every Vietnamese person.

I respectfully bow to a virtuous and talented leader who devoted his life to the country and the people!

General Secretary - a lifelong leader who cares for the people's lives

When I heard the news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing, I was deeply saddened and grieved. This is a great loss for our Party, State and People.

He devoted his whole life to the Party and the People without any personal gain or profit. As General Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Uncle Nguyen Phu Trong, together with the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, put forward correct policies and guidelines for the country's development, achieving many important achievements in various fields, as General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong once said during his lifetime: "Our country has never had such a position and position as it does today."

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is also known as a simple cadre, close to the people, and especially interested in the activities and lives of farmers. In December 2023, the General Secretary signed and issued Resolution No. 46 of the Politburo on innovating and improving the quality of activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to meet the requirements of revolutionary tasks in the new period.

The resolution has entered the lives of cadres and members of the Ninh Binh Farmers' Association in particular and the whole country in general, encouraging and motivating farmers to raise their awareness, responsibility, qualifications, actively participate in the development of ecological agriculture, modern countryside, civilized farmers, contributing to the development of an increasingly prosperous and happy country.

The life and career of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a shining example for us, cadres and farmer members, to follow and learn from.

Absolute trust in solidarity and unity within the Party

Hearing the news of the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, I feel very sad and sorry that our people and our country have lost a staunch communist. The General Secretary is an example of integrity, devotion to the country and the people, and a shining example in implementing the campaign and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh.

As the highest leader of the Party and State, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is always close to the people, devoted to serving the Fatherland, the People and the cause of Party building, and has made many great and important contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

In particular, in the fight against corruption and negativity associated with Party building, the General Secretary has led and directed strongly and decisively with high political determination. Thanks to that, the fight against corruption and negativity has achieved many very important results, creating strong changes in the awareness and actions of the entire political system, increasing the trust of cadres, party members and people in the Party, the State and our regime.

In the coming time, I believe that with the solidarity and unity within the Party, the next generation of leaders will continue the valuable results in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity achieved in the past time, continue to unite and unite within the Party, lead and direct in the right focus and direction as set out by the General Secretary as well as the Party and the State. Thereby contributing to building the Party and the political system increasingly clean and strong, building Vietnam to be increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

A staunch communist, a shining personality, a model for the younger generation to learn from and follow.

On the afternoon of July 19, when I heard the news that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had passed away, I was shocked and deeply saddened to say goodbye to a great personality of the nation, a staunch Communist, a model of pure revolutionary ethics; a man who devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

The General Secretary always has special affection for the young generation. I was honored to meet and listen to the General Secretary speak at the 11th and 12th National Congress of the Youth Union. The speech, with simple, rustic and familiar words, contained so much affection, enthusiasm and deep trust of the General Secretary for the Youth Union and the young generation of the country.

That is: "The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union must truly be a bright example, a challenging and loyal environment for Youth Union cadres to practice political qualities, moral qualities, working style, expertise, and professionalism, creating a source of quality young cadres for the Party" at the 11th National Youth Union Congress, term 2017-2022. Along with the advice on "5 Pioneers" for young people at the 12th National Youth Union Congress, term 2022-2027.

Until now, every time I recall those instructions of the General Secretary, I and the youth of the province seem to be given a great source of strength to continue to have absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, which is the "compass" for me and each youth union member in carrying out tasks, in implementing the work of the Union and the youth and children's movement of Ninh Binh province.

The General Secretary has always been a shining example of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style for the younger generation to learn from and follow.

The greatest lesson that the young generation in general and Ninh Binh youth in particular need to learn and follow from the General Secretary is the spirit and will of steel, not retreating in the face of difficulties and challenges, living and dedicating oneself to the fullest while one still can... Because, the General Secretary once said: "A person only lives once, one must live meaningfully, so as not to regret the mean, cowardly, shameless deeds; what's the point of having a lot of money, when you die you can't take it with you. Honor is the most sacred and noble thing!".

The young generation of Ninh Binh vows to have absolute trust in the Party's leadership and the State's management; constantly cultivate and nurture "Pure Heart - Bright Mind - Great Ambition"; continue to strive, train, work and study, contributing their youth to the cause of building and protecting an increasingly rich and civilized Fatherland.

Ninh Binh youth respectfully bow before an exemplary leader, a true and loyal Communist, who devoted his whole life and sacrificed for the country and the people.

Promoting the spirit of solidarity and implementing well the advice of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

As a member of the 13th National Assembly, I was fortunate to meet General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong many times during National Assembly sessions. I, like many other National Assembly members, found him (as many people still affectionately call him) to be an emotional person, close to the people, and especially, he always had a sense of responsibility, dedication, and always worried about the country and the people.

I still remember, during a National Assembly session, when I and some delegates were pressing the elevator button to go up, when the elevator door opened, in the elevator, the General Secretary and some high-ranking leaders of the Party and State were already there. Seeing that, we bowed and asked permission to take the elevator next time, but instead of making us wait, he smiled and said "please come in here and go together"...

Later, I was also fortunate to meet him at a working session with Gia Sinh commune, when I was the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien district. Still working closely with the grassroots, close to the people and comrades, he shook hands with each person, met and talked intimately with the people and did not forget to advise each cadre to take care of Party building work, to rely on the people to build the Party because "As long as the Party exists, we exist"...

Knowing that birth, aging, sickness and death are the laws of nature, but suddenly hearing the news of his passing, looking back at the old photo that I was lucky enough to have taken with him, I suddenly felt extremely empty. A choked feeling, sadness, missing him and forever remembering his memory and image in my heart.

The passing of the General Secretary leaves behind infinite sorrow in the hearts of the people of the whole country in general and the people of Ninh Binh in particular. Turning grief into revolutionary action, we vow to uphold the spirit of solidarity, well implement the advice of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, firmly adhere to the Party's renewal policy and the principles of Party building; constantly study, cultivate, train, improve our qualities, ethics, qualifications, working capacity, contribute our efforts and intelligence with the Party Committee, Government and People of Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province, determined to build our homeland to be increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized, worthy of the trust and advice of the General Secretary, and the expectations of the People.

Remember and be determined to implement the instructions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

Knowing that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was old and weak, when I heard the news of his passing, I could not help but be moved and mourn the high-ranking leader who devoted his life to the country and the people. This is a great loss to our Party, country and people.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has given profound instructions, always emphasizing the role of culture in the country's development. At the 2021 National Cultural Conference, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed that since its founding, our Party has always attached importance to the role of culture and paid attention to cultural work in the cause of national liberation and national construction, especially during the transition period to socialism.

Accordingly, the Party's consistent viewpoint is that culture must be placed on par with politics, economics, and society, "culture lights the way for the nation", building an advanced culture imbued with national identity. The General Secretary repeatedly affirmed the important role of culture: Culture makes up the soul of the nation, so losing culture means losing the nation.

Understanding and thoroughly grasping the direction of the General Secretary, the provincial Department of Culture in general and Yen Khanh district in particular always actively promote and preserve the traditional cultural values of the homeland and country associated with building cultural life in residential areas.

In particular, well implement the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" and cultural criteria in building new rural areas, build a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals, festivals, culture in agencies, offices, public areas; actively build a system of family values and human standards in the ancient capital in the new period... to build and preserve culture at the grassroots level, promote socio-economic development, contribute to making the country increasingly prosperous and happy.
