Identifying tourism as a key economic sector, in recent years, Quang Nam province has issued many mechanisms and policies to facilitate and promote tourism development. At the same time, it has strengthened linkages, promoted and advertised tourism with localities such as Da Nang, Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, etc.
As a result, in 2024, Quang Nam will welcome over 8 million visitors and stayers (international visitors will reach 5.5 million).
In the first 3 months of 2025, the total number of visitors and accommodation in the province is estimated at 2.24 million (international visitors are estimated at 1.725 million).
Particularly in developing community and rural tourism, since 2009, rural and community tourism in Quang Nam has begun to take shape and develop strongly. Currently, Quang Nam has reviewed and counted 128 points/areas/villages that are and will be able to develop tourism.

Concluding the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh affirmed that Quang Nam is always ready to share experiences on tourism with Ben Tre province. However, tourism development needs to pay attention to preserving the ecological environment, cultural environment, and people, and how to make tourists come back many times. Therefore, the products must be unique, not duplicated, must always change, and be community-oriented.
