(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Apple has just launched the new generation M4 MacBook Pro, but for users who don't have an urgent need, it's not advisable to buy a MacBook Pro at this time. This article will tell you why.
The tech website 9to5Mac quotes Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman as predicting that Apple could launch a completely redesigned MacBook Pro in 2026.
Apple traditionally changes the design of the MacBook Pro every four years. Following this cycle, the MacBook Pro launching next year should have a new design, but according to Mark Gurman's sources, the 2025 MacBook Pro will only be upgraded to the M5 chip, while the design will remain the same.

Mark Gurman predicts that Apple won't release a MacBook Pro with a completely new design and equipped with the M6 chip, a significant performance leap over the M4 chip, until 2026. Gurman calls the 2026 MacBook Pro a "major overhaul" of the MacBook laptop line.
According to Mark Gurman, the 2026 MacBook Pro will have a thinner and lighter design, and will feature an OLED display, which increases brightness and displays more realistic colors, similar to the iPad Pro's screen.
Gurman also stated that the M6 chip in the 2026 MacBook Pro will be developed using a 2nm process, resulting in improved performance and energy efficiency compared to the M4 chip, which is developed using a 3nm process.
Earlier, at the end of October, Apple officially unveiled the new generation of MacBook Pro laptops, with M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chip options. The product upgrades the minimum RAM to 16GB, double that of the MacBook Pro launched last year.
Apple claims that MacBook Pro models using the M4 chip will be 3.4 times faster than MacBook Pro models using the M1 chip released three years ago. Similarly, MacBook Pro models with the M4 Max and M4 Pro will be 3 and 3.5 times faster, respectively, than MacBook Pro models with the M1 Max and M1 Pro.
The MacBook Pro also boasts Apple's longest battery life, with up to 24 hours of use. It also supports fast charging technology, allowing it to charge from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes.
The entry-level version of the MacBook Pro will have a 14-inch screen option, an M4 processor with 10 cores, 10 graphics cores, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, and will be priced at 40 million VND in Vietnam.
Aside from internal configuration upgrades, the 2024 MacBook Pro retains the same design as its predecessor. Therefore, those who are not in a hurry can wait until 2026 to own a MacBook Pro with a completely new design and superior performance.
Of course, users can also buy a new MacBook Pro now and upgrade to a newer version in two years, instead of upgrading to the MacBook Pro with the M5 chip that will be released next year.
