Real Madrid won with difficulty
After being eliminated from the Champions League, Real Madrid returned to the round of 32 of the Spanish Championship (La Liga) against Athletic Bilbao. They played without the service of Kylian Mbappe due to suspension (received a red card).
Real Madrid dominated the game, pressing from start to finish, to the point where Bilbao could barely attack. Coach Ancelotti's team had 74% possession and 22 shots. Many chances were created, but Vinicius, Rodrygo and Bellingham had a bad day, in which Vinicius had the ball in the net once but VAR denied it.
It wasn't until the 90+3 minute that Real Madrid got a goal from Federico Valverde's powerful shot in the penalty area.
The narrow 1-0 win helped the Bernabeu team maintain their slim hope in La Liga. They currently have 69 points and are still 4 points behind the leader Barca.

In round 33 of the Italian Championship (Serie A), Inter Milan visited Bologna. Although this is a tough opponent and is competing for a place in the Champions League, Inter Milan played somewhat superficially.
It seemed that Simone Inzaghi's team were exhausted after the midweek Champions League match against Bayern Munich. Bologna eventually won 1-0 thanks to Riccardo Orsolini's volley in the 90+4 minute.
With this defeat of Inter Milan, the Serie A championship race has become more attractive when they and Napoli currently have 71 points and Inter is only ranked higher thanks to goal difference.

This year's Barcelona Open final saw a surprising result. With the support of a large home crowd, Carlos Alcaraz was predicted to be crowned champion.
But then Danish player Holger Rune had an unexpectedly excellent day. He played more precisely and more powerfully, winning after 2 sets with the scores of 7-6, 6-2. This is Rune's first ATP title in 2 years.
With this result, Holger Rune will return to the top 10 in the world rankings. Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz lost the No. 2 position to Alexander Zverev.
