Event news - Flags will be flown at half-mast, no fun activities will be held...

According to the special announcement of the Central Committee on the The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front decided to hold a state funeral for comrade Khamtay Siphandone - former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The state funeral will be held for 2 days: April 4, 2025 and April 5, 2025.

To express condolences to comrade Khamtay Siphandone and based on the special Vietnam - Laos relationship, the friendly cooperation between Binh Duong province and Champasak province, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requests the Party Building Committees, District Party Committees, City Party Committees, Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels in the province to direct agencies and offices in the province to fly flags at half-mast and have mourning bands as prescribed; not to organize public entertainment activities from April 4, 2025 to April 5, 2025.
