Event news - 89th Provincial People's Committee meeting: Reviewing...

Attending the event were Mr. Bui Minh Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and leaders of departments, branches and localities.

The meeting reviewed and commented on the Report on the proposed investment policy for the project to renovate and upgrade the Saigon River road, from Gia Long Street to Vinh Phu 40 Street, Thuan An City. The project has a starting point adjacent to Gia Long Street (Lai Thieu Ward), an ending point adjacent to Vinh Phu 40 Street (Vinh Phu Ward), and a route along the North bank of the Saigon River, creating a convenient traffic axis for the entire area. The total investment of the project is more than 2,000 billion VND. The total length of the route is 1.84 km; technical infrastructure works include a green tree system; sidewalk lighting system; longitudinal and transverse drainage; and a technical trench system on the residential side.

Overview of the Meeting

The project aims to complete a spacious and modern route along the North bank of the Saigon River as a connecting route in Lai Thieu and Vinh Phu wards; create momentum to increase the speed of urbanization and socio -economic development in the locality; create favorable conditions for people to travel, do business and trade; gradually complete the traffic network according to the approved plan.

The meeting also considered the following contents: Draft Resolution on supplementing Resolution No. 01/NQ-HDND dated January 24, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council on the list of land plots for bidding to select investors to implement investment projects using land in Binh Duong province; Investment policy for the Ong Bo Bridge Downstream Drainage System project; report on proposed investment policies for the projects: Renovation and upgrading of the Saigon Riverside road (section from Binh Nham canal to An Son port); construction of the Saigon Riverside road section from National Highway 13 (near Vinh Binh canal) to Vinh Phu 40 road; draft Decision on authorization to implement a number of contents of management of provincial-level science and technology tasks under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee...

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh concluded the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh basically agreed with the contents presented. He emphasized that public investment projects that are soon implemented will contribute to accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, creating development momentum for the locality. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that localities and relevant departments and branches promptly complete procedures to approve investment policies.

For draft documents proposing to build Resolutions, the drafting units are requested to absorb comments and promptly complete the content to submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval at the upcoming Provincial People's Council Session.
