Overview of the online conference at Binh Duong bridge point

According to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , air pollution in large cities has been complicated for many years, concentrated in two key economic areas in the North (around the "capital region" of Hanoi) and the South (around Ho Chi Minh City).

Causes of environmental pollution from activities: Transportation; construction; industrial production; burning waste, garbage and agricultural by-products; civil activities, use of honeycomb coal stoves in daily life and business; climate and weather conditions;...

Pollution occurs seasonally, mainly concentrated at some points with high traffic density and many production facilities.

The pollution index focuses on dust content, of which the most concerning is fine dust (PM 2.5 ).

The Ministry is currently developing comprehensive solutions in parallel with solutions to handle urgent situations in order to enhance the effectiveness of air quality management.

The conference received many comments from ministries, branches and localities on solutions to enhance the effectiveness of air quality management.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha delivered a speech at the conference.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested to urgently collect and accurately compile pollution indexes and data according to prescribed standards, identify the causes, thereby accurately assessing the current pollution situation, the level of impact on people's health and having appropriate solutions to promptly overcome air pollution. The results of the remediation must be evaluated based on the annual environmental improvement index.

Each ministry, sector and locality needs to review their activities that impact the environment in order to have a plan for handling them, and at the same time issue accompanying handling regulations.

In particular, it is necessary to strengthen communication work; publicize and make transparent pollution indicators to people to raise people's awareness in environmental protection.
