In the context of deep international economic integration, Binh Duong province's export activities are growing strongly, especially in the wood, steel and textile industries - industries that play an important role in the export structure and create jobs for tens of thousands of local workers. However, along with opportunities, businesses are also facing many challenges, including the risk of being investigated and applying trade defense measures from foreign countries.

In this situation, it is urgent to strengthen the capacity for early warning and proactive response to trade defense cases. The early warning system on trade defense - approved by the Government for implementation under Decision No. 316/QD-TTg - is an effective support tool to help businesses improve their capacity to protect themselves in the international market.

At the workshop, businesses listened to experts from the Department of Trade Defense, Ministry of Industry and Trade share about the current trade defense measures being applied in the world, the practice of investigating trade defense cases against wood products, steel and textile products exported from Vietnam. From there, businesses were guided to exploit information and data of the Early Warning System to limit risks of trade defense.

This is necessary information and data to help steel, wood and textile enterprises in Binh Duong province proactively identify risks and promptly take appropriate and timely response measures.
