3.3 million pensioners get salary increase from July 1

If this proposal is passed, it will be the highest increase in pensions and social insurance benefits ever. The scope of application is more than 3.3 million people, including pensioners from compulsory insurance (public and private sectors) and voluntary social insurance participants.

Specifically, the Government proposed that from July 1, it will adjust and increase the current pension and social insurance benefits by 15% (based on the June 2024 level).

At the same time, for those receiving pensions before 1995, after adjustment, the benefit level is lower than 3.2 million VND/month, the adjustment will increase by 0.3 million VND/month; the benefit level is from 3.2 million VND/month to less than 3.5 million VND/month, the adjustment is equal to 3.5 million VND/month.

This increase rate has been calculated by management agencies to ensure fairness, reasonableness, harmony, and sharing between pensioners and social insurance payers, between the state and non-state sectors, and between generations participating in and benefiting from the policy; while ensuring the ability to balance the fund in the long term.

Increased coffee prices cause the export value of Central Highlands coffee to increase sharply.

In the first 6 months of 2024, Gia Lai province's coffee exports accounted for 86% of the province's total export turnover.

Specifically, the total export turnover of Gia Lai province in the first 6 months of the year was 525 million USD, of which coffee exports alone accounted for 452 million USD (148,000 tons). This is explained by the fact that the coffee price has continuously increased in the past crop season, breaking historical peaks one after another.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province, coffee has been the main export product of this province for many years. In recent years, coffee prices have continuously maintained high levels, leading to a large contribution to export turnover. In 2020, coffee exports of this province accounted for 52% of the total export value and increased steadily through 2022 (71%) and 2023 (73%).

In particular, the positive factor supporting exports is that the average coffee price increased by more than 30% compared to the same period last year. This is a favorable condition to promote the export of this key product. Gia Lai is striving to achieve an export turnover of 750 million USD for the whole year, equal to 100% of the target set at the beginning of the year.

Nationwide, coffee exports in the first 6 months of the year earned more than 3 billion USD, an unprecedented figure. It is noted that the current market price of coffee is still high.

After losing the 100,000 VND/kg mark in May, the price of raw coffee in the Central Highlands has now climbed to 120,000 VND/kg and remains stable around this price range, not far from the historical peak of 134,000 VND/kg set in April 2024.

In particular, the list of specialized techniques in medical examination and treatment specified in Appendix 1 includes 28 specialties: Emergency resuscitation and anti-poisoning, Internal medicine, Pediatrics, Tuberculosis, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Endocrinology, Traditional medicine, Anesthesia and resuscitation, Surgery, Burns, Oncology, Obstetrics, Eyes, Ear, Nose and Throat, Dentistry, Rehabilitation...

In this list, column 1: Record the technical technical number; Column 2: Record the technical technical code; Column 3: Record the name by specialty; Column 4: Record the technical technical name; Column 5: Classification of surgeries and procedures.

Classification of surgeries and procedures is based on one or several or all of the following criteria: Level of difficulty of the surgery or procedure; Level of complexity of the surgery or procedure; Level of danger to the patient's life of the surgery or procedure;

Requirements for medical equipment used for surgery and procedures; Requirements for the number of people participating in surgery and procedures; Requirements for the time to perform surgery and procedures.

The list of technical expertise will be the basis for building hospital fees in the direction of "calculating correctly and sufficiently" which is currently being built by the authorities. However, the application of this hospital fee (according to the Government's direction) will be calculated at the appropriate time, avoiding inflation resonance.

1,200 more drugs have their circulation registrations extended

The Ministry of Health has just extended the circulation registration certificates for 1,200 domestically produced drugs, foreign drugs, and drugs with proven bioequivalence to serve the needs of purchasing and bidding for drugs for treatment, prevention, and control of epidemics...

Of these, 174 are foreign drugs, 102 drugs have proven bioequivalence with changed or supplemented drug information, 906 are domestically produced drugs, and 2 drugs have their registrations extended according to regulations in Clause 1, Article 3 of Resolution No. 80/2023/QH15 dated January 9, 2023 of the National Assembly.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) said that among the 906 domestically produced drugs that have their registrations extended this time, 710 will be extended for 5 years, 171 will be extended for 3 years, and the remaining 25 will be extended until December 31, 2025.

Of the 174 foreign drugs extended this time, 155 were extended for 5 years, and the remaining 19 were extended for 3 years.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam requires drug manufacturers, importers and drug registration establishments to be responsible for manufacturing drugs in accordance with the records and documents registered with the Ministry of Health and to print the registration number issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health on the drug label.
