According to Mr. Binh, World Oral Health Day is truly a festival for dental colleagues nationwide to change the awareness and behavior of each member of the community, to care for oral health for children, for themselves, for their loved ones and for the community with the slogan 2:2:2:2 (brush teeth twice a day; brush teeth for at least 2 minutes/time; limit eating 2 hours after brushing teeth; have regular dental check-ups twice a year) to have healthy teeth.

Official and alternate members of the Party Central Committee, Heads of Party Committees at the Central level, Chairmen of National Assembly Committees, Ministers, Heads of Central Organizations and equivalent levels or higher are arranged one of two types: adjacent land area from 200m2 - 250m2 , or apartment with usable area from 145m2 - 160m2 , maximum interior equipment of 250 million VND.
Locally, official and alternate members of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretaries and equivalent levels are arranged one of two types of housing: townhouses with land area from 200m2 - 250m2 or apartments with usable area from 145m2 - 160m2 , with a maximum interior value of 250 million VND.
This draft has many points similar to the current applied level, but expands the number of people allowed to use public housing according to the 2023 Housing Law.

The Ministry of Health will build new prices for 10,000 medical services "calculated correctly and sufficiently"
Speaking at the annual meeting of the Northern Regional Hospital Directors Club on March 16, Ms. Doan Thi Kim Dung, Department of Price Management, Ministry of Finance, shared how to calculate hospital fees "correctly and fully" according to the new Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, which will take effect from July 1, 2024.
Accordingly, the new method of calculating hospital fees will be applied according to the provisions of the current Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and the Law on Prices. The four cost groups used to calculate prices include labor costs (salaries, wages appropriate to the type of service provided); direct costs used for medical examination and treatment (blood, medicine, infusion, medical supplies); equipment depreciation costs and management costs.
Among these, Ms. Dung said that management costs are a component of medical service prices that have just been added to hospital fees, moving towards calculating the full price of services. Management costs include costs for information technology that were not previously included.
However, adjusting hospital fees will also be balanced with people's ability to pay, harmonizing the interests of service providers and users, timing factors as well as the Government's roadmap.
It is known that the Ministry of Health is currently building a new price list of 10,000 medical services in the direction of calculating correctly and fully as mentioned above. To build this price, in March, the Ministry will issue technical and economic norms as the basis for calculating prices. This is the first time that management costs are included in hospital fees and it is expected that hospital fees will be adjusted in an upward direction compared to the current one.
Focus on producing new drugs and vaccines
Speaking at the workshop on implementing science and technology work in the health sector in 2024 held on March 16, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong said that Vietnam has produced 10/11 vaccines in the expanded immunization program; received and mastered a number of technologies for producing drugs of protein and enzyme nature; discovered and applied biological indicators related to cancer and genetic diseases...
However, Ms. Huong assessed that the current weaknesses of scientific and medical technology research are the lack of highly qualified human resources and limited policies and investment in science and technology, and the lack of mechanisms for risky and adventurous topics...
Ms. Huong also said that the health sector is actively promoting the application of biotechnology in medicine, focusing on research and production of drugs and vaccines for disease prevention and treatment.
