Pig price prediction tomorrow, April 2, 2025, still no sign of turning back

Forecast of pig price trend tomorrow, April 2, 2025, in the Central Highlands region, including Dak Nong, may continue to stagnate or decrease slightly, based on the current market situation. On April 1, 2025, the pig price in Dak Nong was recorded at 70,000 VND/kg, belonging to the high price group in the region, but the market in the whole region is showing signs of slowing down after a slight decrease in some provinces such as Ha Tinh, Quang Tri and Ninh Thuan.

Dak Nong’s enhanced control of African swine fever at quarantine stations, along with strict inspection of livestock and poultry transportation, is a positive factor in reducing the risk of disease outbreaks. This can help farmers confidently restock and maintain supply. However, with a large amount of breeding pigs and pigs imported into the province (82,500 breeding pigs and 5,250 pigs since the beginning of the year), local supply is gradually increasing, which could put pressure on live pig prices in the short term if consumption demand does not increase accordingly.

In addition, the cautious mentality of farmers after previous epidemics, along with the high cost of animal feed, has also prevented the herd from being repopulated. Therefore, the price of live pigs in Dak Nong tomorrow will likely fluctuate around 69,000 - 70,000 VND/kg, with the possibility of a slight decrease if supply pressure continues to increase without strong market demand stimulation.
