On November 22, 2024, VNG was honored to welcome a delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) to visit and work at VNG Campus. This is part of the Ministry's 2024 Emulation and Reward Training Conference in the Southern Provinces, with the aim of learning about the activities of typical enterprises in Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone, Ho Chi Minh City.
The delegation led by Ms. Bui Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, together with representatives of the Department of Planning and Investment, leaders of the Industrial Park Management Boards of the Southern provinces, had a meeting to discuss and learn about VNG's business activities, working environment, welfare regime and corporate culture.

The delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Investment and representatives attended the sharing session and learned about activities, working environment and benefits at VNG.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thong, Director of VNG Campus Project, and Ms. Dam Thi Thuy, Director of Legal Affairs, represented VNG to welcome the delegation and give an overview of the company. The sharing session focused on VNG's outstanding achievements, leading product ecosystems and technology solutions such as VNGGames, Zalo, Zalopay and Digital Business, along with the Company's meaningful contributions to the community and the State Budget.

In 2024, VNG was proud to receive the award "Vietnam's Leading Technology Enterprise 2024" honored by World Business Outlook magazine . By the end of September 2024, VNG had contributed more than 700 billion VND to the State budget, ranking 28/100 private enterprises with the largest budget contributions in Vietnam (according to CafeF). In the community sector, VNG and the Dream Creation Fund (DMF) received certificates of merit from the Vietnam Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans, accompanying the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund to support students in difficult circumstances. The UpRace community running project was also honored as a Marketing Campaign for Sustainable Development. In the process of product development, VNG always focuses on creating positive impacts on society. During storm Yagi, Zalo supported the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention to send more than 143 million warning messages, helping people promptly respond to storms and floods. Zalopay cooperated with Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper to call for donations and raised nearly 3 billion VND to support areas damaged by storm Yagi.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thong, Project Director of VNG Campus, gave an overview of the company's business activities.

Ms. Bui Thi Thu Huong shared: "I am very impressed with the important technology products that VNG has developed such as Zalo, Zalopay, along with the company's valuable contributions to the state budget and community activities. These achievements deserve to be recognized and honored". The representative of the Ministry of Planning and Investment also expressed the desire to create conditions for human resource development in the export processing zone, especially in the field of information technology. According to Ms. Huong, proposing appropriate remuneration and reward policies and promoting the transformation of Tan Thuan export processing zone will create a favorable environment for professional development and attract high-quality human resources.

Ms. Bui Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Planning and Investment, spoke at the working session at VNG.

In addition to the VNG Campus headquarters, another prominent facility of VNG in Tan Thuan is the STT VNG Ho Chi Minh City 1 data center (formerly VNG Data Center), which plays an important role in meeting the high-tech development needs in the export processing zone. This is the result of cooperation between VNG and ST Telemedia Global Data Centers (STT GDC), one of the world's leading data center service providers. This center not only meets international standards but is also designed to provide maximum support to domestic and foreign enterprises, promoting the digital transformation process in Vietnam.

Notably, VNG and STT GDC plan to deploy a new data center – STT VNG Ho Chi Minh City 2 – in the first half of 2026. With a power capacity of up to 60 MW upon completion, this will be a large-scale data center, contributing to upgrading Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone into an advanced high-tech zone.

Delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Investment visited the working environment at VNG.

The visit of the delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Investment is a valuable opportunity for VNG to share its experience in building an advanced technology enterprise and replicate its model to other enterprises. Projects such as VNG Campus with a modern workspace of more than 52,000m² and an international standard data center system not only change the appearance of Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone but also contribute to building a sustainable technology ecosystem.
