On June 2, in Hanoi, the Central Youth Union summarized and awarded the national prizes for the 2024 ACP World Championship. The three champions honored at the award ceremony will represent Vietnam in the world finals taking place in Anaheim, California, USA at the end of July.
At the 2024 ACP World Championship finals, the 15 best contestants competed to design a set of publications on Adobe software on the topic of youth volunteering, conveying messages about the role and responsibility of youth towards their homeland and supporting the community.
As a result, Le Trang Anh - a student of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology won Group A (for universities and academies); Nguyen Dinh Kien Dat - a student of Hanoi Industrial Vocational College won Group B (for colleges and intermediate schools) and Mai Ngoc Linh - a student of Chu Van An High School (Hanoi) won Group C (for high schools and middle schools).
At the same time, the organizing committee also honored and awarded prizes to 3 second prize winners, 3 third prize winners, 6 consolation prize winners, and excellent teachers and schools of the contest.
Speaking at the national award ceremony of the contest, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association said that over many years of organization, the contest has always had growth in both quantity and quality, from the number of contestants, the number of exam papers as well as rankings in the international arena.
The approach and investment for the competition are also increasingly developing, creating a quality playground for young people. This is an opportunity for young people to try their hand, to be exposed to the working environment, with internationally recognized standards and criteria. At the same time, it is also a step to practice and equip the necessary skills for the job market that is forecasted to be very competitive in the near future.
ACP World Championship is a graphic design competition organized annually nationwide by the Central Youth Union, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and IIG Vietnam Education Organization. This year, the number of teams participating in the competition nearly doubled compared to last season.
At the end of the national qualifying round, 186 candidates (accounting for nearly 77% of the total number of candidates) achieved 700 points or more - the score that qualifies for the international ACP certificate. Among them, many are young children just entering secondary school.
The competition results also showed the outstanding talent, understanding and new knowledge of the contestants to catch up with new world trends, opening up great prospects for the Vietnamese ACP team when participating in the world finals in 2024.
