On the evening of November 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province held the opening ceremony of the Bac Ninh Tourism, Cuisine and Craft Village Festival 2024.

The event is part of a series of activities celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk song cultural heritage being recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The festival will last from November 14-18.
The 2024 Bac Ninh Tourism, Cuisine and Craft Village Festival was held at the Kinh Bac Cultural Center Square (Bac Ninh City), attracting the participation of 100 booths introducing culinary tourism and craft village tourism products of 18 provinces and cities.
Many other provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Ha Nam, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Da Nang, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang brought many unique local products to the festival.
For a long time, Bac Ninh has been known as a countryside with a rich and unique culinary culture, with many famous delicacies such as: Banh Te Lang Cho, Phu The Dinh Bang cake, Nem Bui Xa...
Coming to the festival, visitors can learn about the unique cultural heritages of Bac Ninh province, tourist attractions, tours, routes, typical tourist attractions, traditional craft village products, famous culinary products of Bac Ninh and other regions.
At the same time, experience the production processes of some traditional crafts such as: bronze casting, making Dong Ho folk paintings, or preparing some traditional dishes.

In addition, many regional specialties such as roast duck, Lang Son bamboo rice, Hai Phong baguette, Bac Giang Chu noodles, Tuyen Quang oranges; handicrafts, etc. are also sold at the festival, introducing more richness and diversity to visitors when coming to the festival.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dap, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh, said that developing tourism as a green economic sector has received attention from Bac Ninh province.
The Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, has oriented to prioritize tourism development and affirmed "Focusing resources to preserve and promote the value of national relics, Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, typical traditional craft villages... associated with tourism and service development".
The Provincial People's Committee has also approved the Project "Promoting cultural heritage values associated with tourism development in Bac Ninh province for the period 2021-2025 with a vision to 2030".
Mr. Nguyen Van Dap emphasized: "The Food and Craft Village Tourism Festival organized annually by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is an important promotional activity in the province's efforts to promote tourism development. Thereby, creating opportunities for localities and travel businesses to exchange and learn from experiences in developing service quality and tourism business efficiency; linking and promoting tourism development in Bac Ninh".
This is the 4th time the Bac Ninh Tourism, Cuisine and Craft Village Festival has been held to introduce to the people and tourists from all over the world the unique cultural features and potential of culinary tourism and craft villages of Bac Ninh.
From there, aiming to upgrade and renew the province's tourism products, at the same time, creating opportunities for localities and travel businesses to exchange and learn from development experiences, improve service quality and effective tourism business, create conditions for cooperation, association, and promote tourism development of Bac Ninh with provinces and cities across the country.
