Tiktok is a potential market for the development of the Vietnamese gaming industry.

One of the focuses of the Gaming On TikTok Hanoi Summit 2025 event is to introduce new tools and solutions to help game publishers optimize their marketing strategies and grow effectively.

On April 24 in Hanoi, TikTok held the Gaming On TikTok Hanoi Summit 2025 event for the first time. The event marked a strategic step in accompanying the Vietnamese gaming community, connecting publishers and content creators, and sharing new trends and solutions to promote effective growth of the gaming industry in domestic and foreign markets.

Vietnam's gaming industry is growing strongly.

According to the Report on Management and Development Strategy of the Online Video Game Industry in Vietnam for the period 2025 - 2030, the gaming industry in Vietnam is witnessing a strong boom.

Vietnam and Southeast Asia are currently the regions with the highest growth rate of mobile games in the world, with growth of up to 7.4% per year in the period 2022 - 2025. In particular, the revenue of the gaming industry in Vietnam is expected to reach 1.66 billion USD in 2025 and continue to grow steadily at 9.77% per year, reaching 2.42 billion USD in 2029.

One of the important reasons for the remarkable growth of the Vietnamese gaming industry is the strong love for mobile games. According to Statista's 2024 report, mobile games in Vietnam will reach a revenue of 712 million USD by 2029. Moreover, Vietnam is also ranked by Bloomberg as one of the top 5 mobile game producing countries in the world in 2023, with 4.2 billion global downloads, 2.5 times higher than the world average.

At the event, a representative of TikTok Vietnam said that one of the reasons TikTok is increasingly becoming an important platform for the gaming community in Vietnam is the strong combination of games and cultural, musical, and entertainment elements.

According to TikTok Marketing Science's Global Gaming LiveOps Survey (conducted via the AYTM platform) in April 2024, up to 59% of TikTok users discovered new games through creative content on the platform.

Additionally, 64% of users said they interacted with gaming content that included music and other entertainment elements. This shows that TikTok is not only a platform for promoting games, but also a place for players to find new stories, new experiences, and connect with the gaming community.

There is no denying that TikTok has become a powerful tool for game publishers in Vietnam to reach players and achieve impressive results. Vietnamese game campaigns deployed on TikTok have had outstanding successes.

Thanks to the TikTok platform, some games have increased 313% in installs in Vietnam, some games achieved ROAS (return on advertising spend) 58 times higher than the average. Some games even exceeded 185% of their install target, while CPI (cost of installation) decreased from 35% to 72%. This is a clear demonstration of the outstanding efficiency when game publishers know how to leverage the power of community and technology on TikTok.

TikTok is not only a platform that helps game publishers connect with players, but also an important 'lever' to help the Vietnamese gaming industry reach international standards.

Taking advantage of digital platforms like TikTok to spread creative content and build communities is a strategic step."
