Destroyed a batch of infringing goods worth more than 500 million VND

On December 28, at the Provincial Market Management Department, the Provincial Council for Handling the Destruction of Evidence and Means of Administrative Violations held a meeting to destroy a batch of administrative violation goods of various types, worth more than 500 million VND.

The items destroyed this time include: alcohol, cigarettes, food, cosmetics, children's toys, clothes, shoes, phones, LED bulbs, auto parts with a total value of more than 500 million VND. These are items that have been seized by the authorities in the past due to unknown origin, no stamps, not ensuring food safety according to regulations; no product declaration number, no certificate of conformity, no conformity mark according to regulations, not qualified for circulation on the market; no energy label according to regulations; not qualified for technical safety and environmental protection quality inspection.

Based on each type of goods, the Council for handling the destruction of exhibits and means of administrative violations of the province destroyed all violating goods in accordance with procedures and legal regulations, ensuring safety and environmental hygiene by cutting, smashing... initially on the spot, then taking them to ETC Nam Dinh Company for processing.

It is forecasted that the market situation before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2024 will have many complicated developments. Therefore, in order to stabilize the market and protect consumer rights, the Provincial Market Management Department is implementing a peak period against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods. Directing Market Management Teams to strengthen market inspection and control, strictly handling organizations and individuals who take advantage of high consumer demand during Tet to unreasonably increase prices, causing market instability, especially for consumer goods that are consumed a lot during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2024.
