Destroy tens of thousands of products that do not meet quality standards

On the morning of December 9, at the factory of Viet Uc Environment Joint Stock Company (Le Minh Xuan Industrial Park, Binh Chanh District), the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department organized the destruction of a large quantity of violating goods, under the close supervision of functional agencies, representatives of specialized departments and related Market Management Teams.

In total, nearly 20,000 violating products were destroyed during this period, with a total value of more than 950 million VND. Mainly clothes, shoes and masks, specifically, 11,423 product units including pants, shirts, dresses, pajamas and other costumes; 18 pairs of sports shoes of unknown origin; 7,880 fabric masks that did not meet quality standards, which could be harmful to the health of users.

Authorities destroy infringing goods

In particular, fabric masks are one of the notable items because they directly affect public health. Masks do not meet the requirements of protecting users from harmful environmental agents, including bacteria and dirt. Destroying poor quality masks is a necessary measure to protect people's health.

The destruction was carried out under the close supervision of the authorities and representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department, contributing to increasing transparency in management; not only preventing the circulation of counterfeit and poor quality goods but also demonstrating the strong commitment of the authorities in protecting consumer rights and maintaining a healthy business environment.

Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Force is determined to fight against counterfeit goods, smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin, to protect consumers.

This is one of the regular activities of the HCM City Market Management Department in the fight against counterfeit goods, smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin and poor quality goods in the city; to control and handle violations.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department has also implemented propaganda programsto educate people on how to identify genuine and fake goods. At the same time, it has strengthened strong measures to deal with the production and trade of fake and smuggled goods.
