At approximately 5:30 PM on December 5th, Nguyen Duc Huy (34 years old, owner of Huy Beer Tay restaurant) received a call from a company, reserving a table for a group of 20 people. The representative asked him about the opening hours, the menu items, and requested a table on the sidewalk on Ta Hien Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi ).

There are 7-8 dishes selected, all familiar Vietnamese street food items, such as: fried fermented pork rolls, boneless chicken feet, pork rolls wrapped in fig leaves, french fries, tofu with scallions, grilled squid, and beer.

"The group didn't request any unusual dishes or services. Therefore, all the restaurant's preparations proceeded as usual when hosting other large groups. I had a feeling they would be VIP guests, but I couldn't guess who they were," Huy said.

At around 9:30 PM, about 30 minutes before the scheduled time, Huy and his staff were surprised to find the restaurant sealed off. Representatives from the booking organization proceeded to assess the overall situation at the restaurant.

At this time, the restaurant is not allowed to accept new customers. Those who are already dining can remain seated as usual, but at least five tables away from the sidewalk.

At 10 PM, the VIP delegation arrived, and everyone along the street stood up and applauded to welcome them. Huy was surprised but also delighted to see Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and CEO Huang appear.

"I was overwhelmed with emotion; I felt deeply honored to welcome two special guests to my restaurant. They sat and ate on the sidewalk, enjoying simple yet authentically Vietnamese dishes. Both Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and CEO Huang were friendly and amiable," Huy said.

The Nvidia founder, with his familiar look of a T-shirt and black jeans, is considered approachable and willing to stop for photos and autographs for fans along the way.

During the meal, CEO Jensen Huang happily drank bottled beer and enjoyed snacks. He, along with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and everyone around them, chanted "Vietnam!"

According to Mr. Huy, the meal lasted about an hour, in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, surrounded by locals, domestic and international diners. It is known that the initial estimated time for the meal was only about 20-30 minutes.

After the meal, the representative of the group paid the total bill for 5 tables and 20 people, which was 5.4 million VND.

"Everything went normally until the very last minute when the two special guests left. For me, this event was a stroke of luck."

"I think not only my beer shop but all the people and business owners on Ta Hien Street feel very proud to have contributed to bringing Vietnamese street food culture to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Mr. Jensen Huang," Huy said.

On the evening of December 5th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, and Mr. Jensen Huang - Chairman and CEO of Nvidia Corporation - visited Hoan Kiem Lake, toured the Old Quarter, and experienced the cuisine and atmosphere of Ta Hien Street (Hanoi).

Previously, during his trip to Hanoi in 2023, Jensen Huang enjoyed pho served on Hang Non Street, duck hotpot on Hang Thiec Street, bun thang (a type of noodle soup), and egg coffee on Nguyen Huu Huan Street...

During this visit, the billionaire visited traditional eateries in Hanoi such as Pho Bat Dan and Giang Cafe.
