Continuing the Question and Answer Session at the 36th Session of the National Assembly Standing Committee

On the morning of August 22, under the chairmanship of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly Standing Committee continued to organize questions and answers on the implementation of resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision and questions from the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term to the end of 2023 in the following areas: Justice; internal affairs; security, order, and social safety; inspection; court; and prosecution.

The question-and-answer session was broadcast live to 62 locations of the National Assembly Delegation of provinces and cities. Attending the question-and-answer session at the Quang Ninh Provincial National Assembly Delegation were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, along with representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and relevant departments, branches and units.

At the Question and Answer Session on the morning of August 22, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Minister of Public Security, and Minister of Home Affairs continued to answer questions and debates of National Assembly deputies.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and units attended the Questioning Session at the Quang Ninh Provincial National Assembly Delegation bridge point.

Also at the Questioning Session, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, on behalf of the Government and the Prime Minister, spoke to clarify a number of related issues under the Government's responsibility in directing and implementing the socio-economic development goals and the implementation of resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision and questioning.

In his closing speech at the Question and Answer Session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man assessed: National Assembly deputies demonstrated high responsibility, carefully studied the reports, asked concise, clear, focused questions, and went straight to the point; Government members and sector heads had a firm grasp of the current situation of their sectors and areas of responsibility, basically answered fully, frankly, explained, clarified many issues and proposed solutions for effective implementation in the coming time.

Delegates from Quang Ninh province followed the question and answer session on the following areas: Justice; Internal Affairs; Security, Order, and Social Safety; Inspection; Court; and Procuracy on the morning of August 22.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, ministers and heads of sectors to fully absorb the opinions of National Assembly deputies, continue to resolutely, synchronously and comprehensively implement the resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision and questioning, focus on promptly, fully and effectively overcoming shortcomings and limitations in each field. Thereby, continuing to contribute to promoting the building and improvement of institutions, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, foreign affairs and preventing corruption and negativity.
