Tonight, November 12, in Hanoi, to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024), General Secretary To Lam attended the National Great Unity Day with a large number of people from Quan Thanh ward, Ba Dinh district.

Also attending were National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

Over the years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quan Thanh Ward has actively innovated its content and methods of operation, aiming to gather and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc. Implementing the viewpoint that "people are the root", relying on the people to promote the role of mastery, sense of responsibility, creativity and all resources of the people; creating social consensus according to the motto "The Party speaks, the people believe; The Front and mass organizations mobilize, the people follow; The government acts, the people support".

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quan Thanh Ward regularly encourages all classes of people to enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns and actively participate in building and protecting the Party and Government, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of the tasks of economic, cultural, social, national defense and security development, contributing to building Quan Thanh Ward to maintain a key area of the Capital.

Expressing his joy at attending the Great Unity Day in the area, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam commended the achievements and efforts of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Hanoi in general, and Ba Dinh district and Quan Thanh ward in particular, over the past time.

Affirming that after nearly 80 years of founding the country and nearly 40 years of renovation, under the correct and wise leadership of the Party, the drastic participation of the entire political system; the joint efforts and consensus of the people of all walks of life; promoting national strength with the strength of the times, the Vietnamese revolutionary cause has achieved great achievements. The General Secretary emphasized that the strength of the great national unity bloc is always one of the most important and powerful resources for the entire Party, people and army to overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully carry out the cause of renovation, develop the country in general and build a peaceful, cultured, civilized and modern capital in particular.

Stating that our country has gathered all the necessary conditions and is facing a historic opportunity to enter a new era, an era of national growth, however, to achieve this, the General Secretary said that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to thoroughly grasp the viewpoint of "taking the people as the center and subject of all policies and strategies", "taking the happiness and prosperity of the people as the goal to strive for", focusing on removing difficulties and "bottlenecks" to clear, mobilize and effectively exploit all resources, create opportunities, liberate all potentials, strongly promote socio-economic development, improve the material and spiritual life of the people, ensure that all people enjoy the fruits of innovation and development, and no one is left behind.

General Secretary To Lam shared: “All policies of the Party and State focus on the People, everyone is protected and allowed to do what the law allows. I hope that in the coming time, every citizen will strengthen the practice of thrift and fight against waste, and at the same time actively participate in monitoring the practice of thrift and fight against waste, promptly detect and report to the authorities about wasteful acts for handling; trust and hope that the people in the area will continue to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition, promote the fine traditional cultural identity and the strength of great national unity, accompany the local Party Committee and government to strive to build Quan Thanh ward as well as all localities in Ba Dinh district and the whole city of Hanoi to become increasingly rich, civilized, modern, worthy of the glorious tradition of the heroic district of the heroic capital, the cultural district of the civilized capital, the peaceful district of the city for peace”.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam presented gifts to 15 veterans who participated in the liberation of the capital and the Dien Bien Phu battlefield; 16 party members with over 70 years of Party membership; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented gifts to the Quan Thanh ward and presented 22 gifts to couples who have lived happily together for over 50 years and are exemplary cultural families; Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai also presented gifts to exemplary people in the area.
