Due to the impact of storm No. 3 and the storm's circulation causing heavy rain and floods, many traffic routes in Trung Son commune, Yen Lap district were eroded.
Excavators and vehicles were mobilized to level, dredge, and handle landslides that caused traffic congestion in Trung Son commune.
Specifically, the commune has 55 landslides on positive and negative slopes on inter-regional routes: Dang area to Nhoi area, Nhoi area to Bop area, Ca area to Dong Mang area, Gay area to Dong Mang area... with a landslide volume of over 52,000m3 of soil and rock. In addition, floods also caused landslides at several points on Provincial Road 321 from Xuan An commune to Trung Son commune; of which, the section passing through Trung Son area has 6 landslides.
Immediately after the landslide occurred, leaders of Yen Lap district and Trung Son commune directly inspected the landslide locations; arranged funds, mobilized vehicles and forces on site to level, dredge and handle landslides that caused traffic congestion; placed warning signs, reminding people not to approach the landslide area to avoid the risk of loss of life and property.
People of Trung Son commune leveled landslide rocks and soil onto the road to ensure temporary traffic.
Up to now, the traffic routes affected by landslides in Trung Son commune have basically ensured temporary traffic for the people. However, due to the large volume of landslides, steep slopes, weak rock and soil structure, etc., the landslide situation in the area has not been completely resolved. The People's Committees of the district and commune continue to mobilize human resources, materials, and means to level the landslides and rocks on the road surface to ensure traffic.
