Attending and chairing the Conference were members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee: Chairwoman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Lan Huong; Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Do Anh Tuan; Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Hong Son.

Proactively develop and implement work plans

The report at the conference showed that in the third quarter of 2024, the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the city continued to closely follow the political tasks of the city. Strengthening propaganda and education to raise awareness among union members, association members and people to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies.

In addition, implementing the theme of "Discipline, responsibility, action, creativity, development" of the city in conjunction with promoting the implementation of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements. Coordinating well the organization of activities "Repaying gratitude", "Drinking water, remembering its source" on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

Strengthen the grasp of the situation of union members, association members and the people. Focus on launching emulation and organizing activities towards the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). Effectively implement the plan for social supervision, criticism, and contribution to Party and government building in 2024.

Pay attention to the work of consolidating and developing organizations, union members and members. Successfully organize the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the City, term 2024 - 2029. Proactively and actively coordinate with the government and functional forces to deploy measures to respond to and overcome the consequences caused by storms No. 2 and No. 3. Launch activities to support people in flooded areas to ensure stable lives, organize well humanitarian and charitable activities to contribute to the successful implementation of economic, cultural, political security and social order and safety tasks in the capital.

Accordingly, the City Fatherland Front has called for, launched and received support for people affected by storm No. 3. As of September 25, 2024, the amount of money to the City fund reached over 189.4 billion VND; supported with a total amount of 97.4 billion VND along with many goods, necessities...

Strengthen coordination in performing tasks

Concluding the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen highly appreciated the proactiveness and positivity in developing plans and organizing the implementation of targets and tasks set out in the third quarter of 2024 by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the city. This has created conditions to motivate the people, cadres, civil servants and public employees in the political system to be determined to carry out common tasks and handle sudden and unexpected problems.

Reviewing the results that the City has achieved in the first 9 months of 2024, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee said that contributing to that common success, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and endeavors of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels who have always closely followed the political tasks of the City and actively coordinated closely with the City's departments, branches and sectors to successfully complete the tasks set out in the third quarter of 2024 according to their assigned functions and tasks.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels of the city to review the targets and tasks of 2024 to strive to complete them according to the set plan.

Regarding the peak preparation for the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee proposed launching emulation movements from the city to the grassroots; showing gratitude and caring for families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, especially historical witnesses who participated in the takeover of the Capital on October 10, 1954.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee also requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels of the city to actively promote their responsibilities in gathering and building the great national unity bloc.

At the same time, continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW, dated December 20, 2023, Resolution of the 8th Conference, the 13th Party Central Committee; Action Program No. 29-CTr/TU dated February 16, 2024 of the City Party Committee "On continuing to promote the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy"; Regulation No. 144-QD/TW, dated May 9, 2024 of the Politburo on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period; Directive No. 30-CT/TU, dated February 19, 2024 on strengthening the leadership of Party committees in building elegant and civilized Hanoians; Directive No. 25-CT/TU, dated September 20, 2023 of the City Party Committee on continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership over fire prevention, fighting, and rescue work in Hanoi in the new situation.

In addition, continue to coordinate with the city's functional agencies to implement a policy package to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, especially focusing on agricultural production to serve the needs of people's lives, the market and the upcoming Lunar New Year.

In addition, continue to participate in contributing ideas to the guiding documents of Party Congresses at all levels towards the 18th Congress of the City Party Committee. Strengthen the grasp of the situation of union members, association members and public opinion to ensure consensus of the people in implementing the major tasks of the City.
