The content of the dispatch stated that due to the impact of Storm No. 3, there are currently many complicated developments in the province, traffic in many places is being cut off, information transmission lines and clean water are unstable; there is a high risk of subsidence; some places are still isolated.
To ensure safety in flood and landslide prevention, the Director of the Department of Education and Training requests the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities; Principals and Directors of units under the Department; Directors of vocational education and continuing education centers of districts, towns and cities to direct a number of contents, specifically:
Continue to let preschool, primary, secondary, high school and vocational education students in the whole province stay home from school until the end of this week (from September 12 to September 14, 2024).
At the same time, review schools at risk of subsidence and unsafety and have immediate solutions or move them to another location to ensure safety (possibly consider a 2-shift plan) so that from September 16 (Monday), students can go to school normally.
If secondary and high schools for ethnic minorities and boarding schools cannot ensure safety or do not have enough clean water for students staying at school, they must notify parents and organize the handover of students to their families.
Arrange forces at educational facilities to be on duty 24/7 to promptly handle situations caused by post-storm developments.
Continue to thoroughly educate and propagate to teachers and students in the school to absolutely not be subjective in storm and flood prevention. Mobilize forces to organize cleaning and repair of classrooms before welcoming students back to school.
