According to the Department of Vehicle Inspection, recently, this unit has received some information reflecting on social networks, through hotlines and complaints and petitions from people and businesses about some motor vehicle inspection facilities, inspectors, and professional staff having improper service attitudes, harassment, and negativity related to receiving inspection registration. For example, inspectors harass, report one error after another, causing difficulties for vehicle owners and requiring vehicle owners to go to the designated garage to fix it, then return for inspection to pass.
Or the inspection facility staff makes it difficult for the vehicle owner and requires that the vehicle must purchase civil liability insurance before the vehicle can be inspected, while the vehicle is still insured...
There are inspection facilities that show signs of selling inspection stamps to shops that specialize in selling used cars for profit.
The Department of Registration strictly prohibits registration facilities, registration officers and professional staff from arbitrarily making requests contrary to regulations.
Or the inspection facility colludes with the “broker”, causing the vehicle to only be inspected when it is connected to the broker, after the broker receives the money, it will contact the staff at the inspection facility, then the inspection will be satisfactory. Expired vehicles that want to be inspected just need to use another license plate attached, then work with the “broker”, the inspector will skip the step of checking the chassis number and engine number.
In addition, the Department of Registration received feedback and recommendations via the hotline about some facilities refusing to accept applications for exemption from first-time inspection for new vehicles without giving a valid reason, causing frustration for vehicle owners.
Faced with this situation, the Department of Registration requires registration facilities to review and rectify the improper service attitude of some registration inspectors and professional staff, which has caused frustration among people and businesses.
The leader of the Vietnam Register also emphasized: "It is strictly forbidden for inspection facilities, inspectors and professional staff to arbitrarily and arbitrarily make requests that are contrary to regulations on inspection procedures and processes. If violations occur, they will be punished according to regulations". The Register requires facilities to proactively organize vehicle owners to register for inspection in the forms of online registration via the application, registration by phone, direct registration (possibly through the issuance of a serial number) and other suitable forms to save time.
It is expected that from April 24, the Vietnam Register will conduct a trial of the exemption software at registration facilities nationwide.
