In gratitude to the land that once sheltered and supported the Southern Resistance Radio Station and to share with the difficult circumstances of policy families, poor households, and students overcoming difficulties in the locality, while also aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Voice of Vietnam (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2025), the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in the Mekong Delta region coordinated with the People's Committee of Thoi Binh district to organize activities to return to the source, give gifts, and provide free medical examinations and medicine to the disadvantaged in Tan Bang commune, Thoi Binh district.

The delegation visited and provided free medical examination and treatment to about 500 disadvantaged people in Tan Bang commune. Doctors from MEDIC Can Tho Hospital will provide initial examinations, as well as advice on treatment and medication for chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, blood pressure, diabetes, etc.
Most of the people examined this time were in difficult circumstances and did not have the means to regularly visit primary health care facilities. Therefore, when they heard that a group was coming to examine them, the people were very excited.

Also during this trip, the delegation presented 2 solidarity houses, one of which was given to the family of Ms. Bui Thi Ngan, a daughter of Tan Bang commune, who had contributed to the Southern Voice of Vietnam Resistance Radio Station. In addition, 30 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, were given to families who had contributed to the Southern Voice of Vietnam Resistance Radio Station, local families with meritorious services, and 50 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, were given to students in difficult circumstances. In addition, 100 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, were given to poor and disadvantaged households in Thoi Binh district.

Today's trip back to the source with VOV is not simply a social activity, but a journey back to the roots, to historical memories, to the sentiment of compatriots, to show gratitude, to continue and to spread the value of history”.
