In the past few days, storm No. 3 has caused heavy losses in human lives and property in the northern provinces, including Phu Tho province. Storm No. 3 has caused heavy losses to the province in terms of crops, flowers, etc.

Representatives of the Vietnam Seed Trade Association and member units presented seeds to representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Up to now, the total crop area in the province has been damaged by nearly 7,000 hectares, including nearly 2,000 hectares of rice, over 2,000 hectares of corn and vegetables, nearly 200 hectares of perennial fruit trees, 31 hectares of industrial crops damaged by over 70%, the remaining area damaged by 30-70%.

Promoting the tradition of solidarity, mutual love and mutual assistance of the nation, the Vietnam Seed Trade Association and its member units donated 415 kg of seeds, mainly vegetable seeds, to Phu Tho province to promptly support and encourage localities in the province to restore production after the storm.

This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the sentiment and sense of responsibility of the enterprise to the localities affected by natural disasters. With this support, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development commits to work with the relevant authorities and localities to distribute to Ha Hoa, Cam Khe and Phu Ninh districts as soon as possible and most effectively so that the funding and support reaches the right subjects, helping farmers ensure the season and rebuild production in the winter crop.
