This summer, every day at 7 o'clock, Lam Quang Huy, 14 years old, from Kim Tan ward, and his friends go to the artificial soccer field in Duyen Hai ward to practice. Huy said: I really like playing soccer because it brings me a lot of joy. Playing soccer also helps me exercise and refresh my spirit.
Many football clubs and classes have been opened to attract young people and children in the city to participate. For example, the Lao Cai HQ Community Football Club was established in 2021. Up to now, the club has 200 students from 7 to 14 years old. During the summer, the club organizes regular activities every day of the week. Here, the club is fully equipped with uniforms, training tools, and gathers experienced teachers to participate in training. In 2 months, the children will learn some basic knowledge about football such as ball feel, passing techniques, receiving the ball, dribbling, advanced shooting, throw-in, header, individual defense, group defense, attack, team coordination, etc. After technical and physical exercises, the coach will organize the teams to practice against each other.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Head of Football Club HQ Lao Cai community said: The club's operating principle is "Nurturing passion, developing talent". All of you who come to the club will undergo tests to divide the status, physical condition, basic football skills, from which the club will provide exercises suitable for each age group. In particular, every month, we organize internal tournaments for young players to compete, exchange and experience the spirit of sports competition.
Recently, the first Lao Cai Province U9, U11, U13 Football Tournament - 2024 organized by the DTH KIDS Community Football Center in Lao Cai City attracted hundreds of young athletes from football clubs in the city.
