Doctor of Science at University of Technology becomes Principal of Quy Nhon University

Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Duc Tung (born in 1975), graduated and received his engineer, master's and doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He also completed his postdoctoral studies in Italy and received leadership and management skills training in New Zealand according to Conclusion 39 of the Politburo.

In 2019, he achieved the title of Associate Professor specializing in Electrical Engineering.

Before being recognized as the Principal of Quy Nhon University, Mr. Doan Duc Tung held many important positions such as Deputy Dean, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Head of Facilities Department and Vice Principal of Quy Nhon University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son congratulated Mr. Doan Duc Tung on being elected to the position of principal by the Party Committee, staff and school leadership, and on being entrusted with this important responsibility by the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training.

"I believe that in his new position, Mr. Doan Duc Tung will continue to promote his knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to join the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and the collective of cadres, civil servants and employees to build Quy Nhon University to become increasingly stronger, becoming a multi-disciplinary, multi-field university, training high-quality and highly qualified human resources", Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son emphasized.

In his acceptance speech, the new Principal of Quy Nhon University, Doan Duc Tung, thanked the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and the school leaders for entrusting him with this great responsibility.

He pledged to be more proactive and creative in management; resolute in direction and operation, closely following reality and covering the work to successfully implement a strong autonomy roadmap, affirming the prestige and position of the school in the university education system and the whole society.

"I will work with the school's leadership team to unite all school staff into a unified block, building Quy Nhon University into a multi-disciplinary, multi-field, application-oriented university with high prestige, meeting the quality standards of the Southeast Asian region; having an important position in training cooperation, research, academic exchange and cultural exchange domestically and internationally," Mr. Doan Duc Tung affirmed.
