Mr. Dang Xuan Minh - General Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association: After 20 years of establishment and development since 2005, Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association has become a prestigious playground, connecting and exchanging between golfers, aiming to improve health, enhance sports training spirit; at the same time contributing to building and developing the city's golf sport according to the State's policies and laws.

Up to now, Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association has affirmed its important role in the movement of developing the Southern golf community, training young talents, high-performance golf and especially, linking golf with community responsibility, joining hands to help those in difficult circumstances to create noble human values.

Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association has made many marks through organizing a system of prestigious and quality tournaments with the participation of hundreds of golfers such as: Ho Chi Minh City Open Championship, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Golf Open Championship, Ho Chi Minh City Singles Open Championship, Ho Chi Minh City Clubs Open Championship, Perfect Golfer Pairs, HGA Gala and the oldest charity golf tournament Swing for life.

In particular, since 2025, the Association has coordinated with units to organize the Overseas Vietnamese Golf Exchange Tournament with the desire to create a playground for solidarity, gathering all overseas Vietnamese who are passionate about golf; thereby seeking opportunities for cooperation and investment between the business community and domestic and foreign entrepreneurs, contributing to the development of sports tourism , promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City as a sports destination and international integration.

As Secretary General of Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association, can you give a general assessment of the development of the golf movement in Ho Chi Minh City?

In recent years, the number of golf courses in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and neighboring provinces such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Long An ... have been put into operation more and more. Along with the development of golf courses are convenient services such as F&B, fashion , equipment, event organization ... which have stimulated the development of golf players, the development of golf clubs and the proliferation of amateur tournaments. In my opinion, the golf movement in Ho Chi Minh City in recent years has grown strongly in quantity and quality.

With its long-term vision and methodical, professional approach, what has the Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association been doing to create new talents, similar to Le Khanh Hung, to help Vietnamese golf reach new heights?

We wish to build the Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association into the "cradle" of the golf movement in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the Southern region in general in the direction of professional development and contribution to the community. The Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Golf Club regularly organize tournaments and outings to create a playground for children to compete and compete, thereby searching, discovering, training and developing young talents.

The Association will connect and introduce the children to the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City to establish a City Youth Team to participate in national and international tournaments and enjoy benefits according to state regulations. At the same time, the Association will also seek and connect with partners to bring many incentives from golf courses in terms of costs, golf practice services, hotels and restaurants for the children... in addition to training and talent search programs.

Over the years, the Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association has organized many tournaments of great significance to the community. So on this occasion, what special activities does the association have to celebrate?

In response to the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the development of high-performance golf, expanding the experience playground, aiming to build a selection team for Ho Chi Minh City to participate in national and international tournaments, Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association is urgently organizing the "Ho Chi Minh City Open Single Championship 2025" golf tournament - a tournament for golfers with single handicap level in Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country - and "Ho Chi Minh City Open Championship 2025" - gathering hundreds of top golfers across the country to participate.

Regarding the Tien Phong Golf Championship - Non song mot doi which is about to be held at Tan Son Nhat golf course, how do you evaluate the tournament, as well as how the appearance of the tournament contributes to the overall development of golf in Ho Chi Minh City?

I find this a very meaningful tournament, especially on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. Tien Phong Golf Championship - Non song mot doi is an opportunity for us to express our deep gratitude to the previous generation, towards the veterans who contributed to the great victory of Spring 1975.

Besides, I believe that the tournament will also become a useful playground for golfers, joining the general development of Vietnamese golf.
