Pioneer in handing over land for urban area projects

When there was a policy of land acquisition to implement the new urban area of ​​Hau Nghia - Duc Hoa, Mr. Tran Van Trung (Tan Hoi hamlet, Duc Lap Thuong commune, Duc Hoa district) pioneered in receiving compensation, handing over the site and moving to a new place of residence.

Mr. Trung was born in 1965 in a family with a revolutionary tradition . In 1986, he joined the army and went to the battlefield in Cambodia . “When I first came here, I was very poor! My wife's family and mine were both miserable; my hometown was still poor at that time, the roads were muddy, and there was no electricity. I tried very hard to improve my family's economy and take care of my children,” said Mr. Trung.

No sooner said than done, he worked hard to cultivate the small area of ​​land his family owned. He grew rice and various vegetables such as taro, squash, pumpkin, luffa, etc. In his free time, he worked for hire, saved money to rent more land to grow peanuts and many other crops, and bought a gasoline-powered pump to serve production.

Thanks to his diligence, hard work, and willingness to learn, he and his wife have a good harvest every time they do it. Mr. Trung is also a pioneer in applying crop rotation methods in the locality. Each year, he grows peanuts in the winter-spring crop, corn in the summer-autumn crop, and rice in the remaining crop. Thanks to applying this method, the yield is good and pests and diseases are limited.

His children are very studious, so no matter how hard it is, he and his wife try to take care of them. Currently, his children are all working in the medical field. "Back then, my family was poor, and my children were able to go to school partly thanks to support from their teammates through scholarship funds. Now that they have a stable life and are all successful, I am very grateful to my teammates," Mr. Trung confided.

The current house is the new residence. Mr. Trung's old house is located in the planned area of ​​Hau Nghia - Duc Hoa New Urban Area with an area of ​​over 197 hectares. At that time, he was the first person to receive compensation and demolish the house to hand over the land according to regulations.

As Vice President of the Veterans Association of Duc Lap Thuong Commune, he actively encouraged people to comply with regulations, contributing to the early implementation of the project, changing the face of his hometown. His exemplary and pioneering role has created a ripple effect, and many other households have followed suit. To date, there have been no cases where the locality has had to enforce the project.

According to the Chairman of the Veterans Association of Duc Lap Thuong Commune - Nguyen Van Som, Mr. Trung is an exemplary veteran and a good farmer. He has the will to strive, from nothing to become rich.
