Tien Hai: Business community contributes to promoting socio-economic development

In recent years, the socio-economic development of Tien Hai district has had positive steps. Contributing significantly to that result, enterprises in the district have had many solutions to overcome difficulties in production and business, gradually expanding the market, contributing to shifting the labor structure, increasing budget revenue, and ensuring social security in the area.

Enterprises are the driving force of socio-economic development.

Mr. To Xuan Canh, Director of Hao Canh Porcelain Production and Trading Company Limited, said: As a member of Tien Hai District Business Association, the Company always strives to develop production, together with local enterprises, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the district. The Company's civil porcelain products apply modern technology and innovate designs to meet consumer needs. In addition to the domestic market, the Company's products are present in many countries in Europe and Asia. In particular, in recent years, the Company has innovated production lines, applied technology to produce Minh Chau bone china products of superior quality and completely new to the Vietnamese market. In the first 6 months of 2023, the Company produced more than 48 million products, with revenue reaching 281.2 billion VND.

Not only large enterprises such as Hao Canh Porcelain Production and Trading Company Limited and Long Hau Ceramics Joint Stock Company, but also small and medium enterprises in Tien Hai district have contributed a lot to the development of the district.

Mr. Tran Dai Nghia, Director of Dai Nghia Production and Trading Company Limited, Dong Hoang Commune, shared: Producing transplanting machines for the market, the Company has accompanied farmers to mechanize agriculture, thereby solving the problem of heavy labor, urgent seasonal work, contributing to improving productivity and quality of agricultural products. On average, each year the Company produces and consumes more than 1,000 products, with revenue reaching over 10 billion VND.

Mr. Bui Van Son, Chairman of Tien Hai District Business Association, said: There are 525 enterprises in the district, of which 65 are members of the District Business Association. In the past 3 years, the Tien Hai business community has faced many difficulties and challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the market's consumption demand has decreased, but the enterprises have strived to overcome all difficulties, been dynamic and creative in organizing production, approaching some new markets, boldly investing in equipment innovation, improving production capacity, and diversifying products. Some typical enterprises with high revenue are Toyoda Gosei Thai Binh with 692 billion VND, Mikado Thai Binh ceramic tiles with 373 billion VND, Hao Canh porcelain with 281.2 billion VND, Long Hau ceramics with 128 billion VND...

Government accompanies businesses

Mr. Pham Ngoc Ke, Chairman of Tien Hai District People's Committee, said: Since the beginning of the year, Tien Hai District has resolutely directed the implementation of administrative reforms to create maximum convenience in administrative transactions, handling procedures related to investment and production development of people and enterprises. Strengthening coordination with functional departments and branches to prioritize enterprises and production entities in the district on preferential loan procedures from credit channels. In particular, the district has organized dialogue conferences with enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments to listen to and receive comments and suggestions, and solutions to remove difficulties for enterprises. Implementing training on measuring the set of competitiveness assessment indexes at the department, branch, district and city levels for over 200 enterprises in the area. In addition, the district also focuses on supporting craft village enterprises to develop strong products to participate in product introduction booths with the goal of improving product quality, maintaining and developing the consumer market. Actively promote, mobilize, and guide enterprises to choose to invest in OCOP products to create opportunities for advertising, trade promotion, and building local product brands. Focus on selecting and supporting enterprises that produce and trade key agricultural, forestry, and fishery products with potential and advantages to develop production organization according to the value chain, build and register product trademarks, control quality associated with traceability, contribute to product development, and increase income for people.

In 2022, Tien Hai district attracted 14 investment projects in industrial parks and clusters with a total capital of VND 4,552 billion. In the first 7 months of 2023, there were 2 new investment projects in the district, which were the project of a factory producing household accessories, bathrooms, indoor and outdoor lighting in Tien Hai industrial park and the project of investing in construction and operating infrastructure of Hai Long industrial park of Bao Minh Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company. The total investment capital of the projects is VND 2,634 billion, the land area used is 226.4 hectares.
