Tien Giang organizes meeting to celebrate 94th anniversary of Youth Union's founding

Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Thi Hoai Thu, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee for Social Affairs; Do Tan Hung, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Tran Kim Trat, member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Secretary of the My Tho City Party Committee; and former leaders of the Provincial Youth Union through the periods, former Youth Union officials, and many outstanding Youth Union members and young people.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Minh, Secretary of Tien Giang Provincial Youth Union, said that the Youth Union and youth movement have always received close attention and leadership from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, provincial leaders and departments, branches and sectors. Thanks to that, many meaningful projects and tasks have been implemented, contributing to enhancing the role of the Youth Union in the lives of young people.

In the period of 2022 - 2027, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union determined that the Resolution of the Youth Union Congress focuses on three main groups of tasks: Moral training is the key, improving knowledge is the focus and developing skills is the foundation. Specifically, the work of educating morality, ideology and lifestyle for young people is implemented synchronously and effectively.

In addition, the training of knowledge and improvement of the quality of students' learning are carried out through the Youth Union, Team movements, competitions and intellectual playgrounds. In particular, the Provincial Youth Union focuses on coordinating with related sectors to organize practical skills training activities for students and teenagers.

In the two key movement groups, the Provincial Youth Union promotes the movement "Tien Giang Youth join hands to build new rural areas". In the period of 2022 - 2027, the Provincial Youth Union plans to deploy 1,300 youth projects at all levels, focusing on supporting union members and young people in difficult circumstances, building friendship houses, Red Scarf houses, and great solidarity houses; at the same time, carrying out environmental protection activities, contributing to the development of the homeland.

In addition, the youth start-up movement continues to receive attention. In the period 2015 - 2025, the Provincial Youth Union has supported 400 youth start-up projects, with support levels ranging from 20 - 100 million VND per project, contributing to job creation and stabilizing livelihoods for union members and youth throughout the province.

In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union hopes that this movement will continue to develop strongly, promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among young people.

Rewarding units that achieve the title of "Strong and Proactive Grassroots Youth Union 3" in 2024.

Regarding the work of building the Youth Union organization, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee determined to focus on the grassroots to grasp the actual situation, thereby providing timely support solutions. Currently, 100% of the Youth Union cadres in the province have been standardized in terms of expertise and political theory.

2025 is the year of Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the Tien Giang Provincial Party Congress. Along with many other important events, the Provincial Youth Union will carry out meaningful projects such as eliminating temporary houses in response to the Prime Minister's call, building the "Truong Sa" model in primary and secondary schools, and joining hands to build new rural areas.

On this occasion, Tien Giang Provincial Youth Union would like to express its deep gratitude to the leaders at all levels who have always cared for and supported the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement. At the same time, it hopes to continue to receive companionship and encouragement so that Tien Giang youth can constantly strive to be worthy of the spirit of "Aspiration - Courage - Solidarity - Creativity".

The delegation visited the first base of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tien Giang province (Binh Thanh hamlet, Binh Trung commune, Chau Thanh district).

At the program, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union through a documentary film and interacted with former Youth Union officials. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee honored 10 faces of "Tien Giang Province's Outstanding Youth" in 2025 and rewarded units that achieved the title of "Proactive and Strong Grassroots Youth Union 3" in 2024.
