According to Tien Giang Province Police, in recent days, a video has been circulating on social media showing a scene of child abuse at a daycare facility; a woman believed to be a nanny at the facility repeatedly punched a 2-year-old girl in the face and head.
At the same time, the police agency received a complaint from Ms. DTK (born in 1994, residing in Dak Ru commune, Dak R'Lap district, Dak Nong province; temporarily residing in Tan Lap 1 commune, Tan Phuoc district) about her biological daughter, DNN (born in 2023), being beaten by a babysitter named Nguyen Thi Huynh Tuyen, causing swelling in the head area.
During the investigation and working with the people involved, the police determined that the incident occurred on March 31, 2025, at a spontaneous childcare facility in Hamlet 4, Tan Lap 1 Commune, Tan Phuoc District, owned by Mr. NTT (born in 1981, residing at the same address). Tuyen is Mr. T's biological daughter and also a nanny at this spontaneous childcare facility.
During the investigation, Nguyen Thi Huynh Tuyen admitted to all her actions. According to Tuyen's statement, she was lying down looking at her phone and was momentarily angry, so she hit the child.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Tien Giang Province is temporarily detaining Tuyen to consolidate the case file for child abuse.
From the above incident, Tien Giang Provincial Police recommend that people should not send their children to spontaneous, unreliable childcare facilities that have not been licensed to operate by competent authorities.
At the same time, when detecting signs of child abuse, it is necessary to immediately report to the authorities to take timely measures, promptly prevent violations of the law, and prevent unfortunate incidents from happening, affecting the spirit, health and safety of children.
