National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section, over 21km long, is being expanded to 50-60m in some sections where the ground has been cleared.
Regarding the information on site clearance for the project to improve and upgrade National Highway 6 from Ba La intersection to Xuan Mai town, a representative of Chuong My district said that the district needs to reclaim about 85 hectares of land. Up to now, the locality has handed over 23.2 hectares of land to the investor for construction in the communes of Phu Nghia, Truong Yen, Dong Son, Thuy Xuan Tien, and Xuan Mai town.
It is expected that by the end of 2024, the locality will hand over about 80% of the agricultural land and public land to the investor. It is expected that by 2025, the district will complete site clearance to serve the project construction.
In Ha Dong district, the total land area recovered for the project is about 30 hectares. Currently, the People's Committee of Ha Dong district is also coordinating with the city's departments, branches and sectors to urgently implement the site clearance for the National Highway 6 expansion project.
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6 from Ba La intersection (Ha Dong district) to Xuan Mai town (Chuong My district) is 21.7km long.
The Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (project investor) informed that it has directed contractors to speed up the project construction progress as soon as the site is received and the construction conditions are met. Up to now, the project has disbursed 9% of the capital plan.
According to Giao thong Newspaper, this Board recently opened the bid for package 02/QL6-XL to construct the road section from Km17+500 - Km19+920 (including Mai Linh bridge, trees, lighting and technical infrastructure) under the Investment Project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section.
The package is worth more than 510 billion VND, selecting contractors through open online bidding, contract implementation period is 38 months.
There were 7 contractors submitting bids, including 5 joint ventures (bid prices from 391.7 billion VND to 464.3 billion VND) and 2 independent contractors: Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (bid price 433.8 billion VND); Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company (bid price 444.2 billion VND).
During the bidding period, there were 15 requests for clarification and 1 recommendation regarding the bidding documents. The Investor decided to adjust the bidding documents and extended the bidding closing time twice.
The project has a total investment of 8,100 billion VND from the City budget. Of which, over 5,100 billion VND is for site clearance, 2,900 billion VND is for construction costs and equipment purchases.
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6 from Ba La intersection (Ha Dong district) to Xuan Mai town (Chuong My district) is 21.7km long. This section will be upgraded to 4-6 lanes, designed speed of 80 km/h, roadbed width will be expanded to 50-60m, contributing to completing the radial axis connecting National Highway 21A, Ho Chi Minh road and Ring Road 4 - Capital Region. The total investment capital of the project is 8,100 billion VND from the city budget.
In December 2022, the Hanoi People's Committee started to renovate 21.7km of National Highway 6 through Ha Dong and Chuong My districts, of which the section through Chuong My district is 15.8km long and Ha Dong is 5.9km long.
