On May 27th, despite the scorching heat of Central Vietnam, a large number of relatives, neighbors, teachers, and friends came to offer condolences and bid farewell to Huynh Van Truc (17 years old, class 11/8, Cao Ba Quat High School, Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam Province ) as he was laid to rest.
Unfulfilled dreams
Many people mourned the sudden death of this kind and gentle young man. Funeral flowers and white mourning flags covered the village road from his home to the cemetery in Tam Anh Nam commune (Nui Thanh district).
Huynh Van Truc unfortunately died in an accident while on his way from home to his summer job on May 26th.

Mr. Huynh Van Quang (Truc's father) sadly shared that Truc was the youngest of four siblings. Her two older brothers and sister had graduated and found stable jobs.
"It's heartbreaking, I never imagined my child would end their life at the young age of 17. They were such a filial and obedient child. My child never caused their parents any sadness. Their sudden passing is a huge shock to my wife and me!" Mr. Quang said, tears streaming down his face.
According to Mr. Quang, as she was preparing to finish her 11th grade year, Truc expressed a desire to work part-time to gain life experience and help her parents buy books and supplies for the new school year. So, for almost a month now, Truc has been regularly waking up early every day and driving to the fried chicken shop about 3 kilometers from her house to help out.
"The fateful day my granddaughter met with the accident was also the one-month anniversary of her starting her part-time job. From a young age, she had a strong passion for music . Even in the fourth grade, Truc could play the organ proficiently and showed a talent for singing. In middle school, Truc shifted her interest to the guitar and didn't take long to master it. She learned music very quickly," Mr. Quang said, his voice choked with emotion.
Mr. Quang has many years of experience in the field of sound and lighting at wedding events, so from a young age, Truc had the opportunity to learn several musical instruments such as the organ and guitar. Truc's dream, which she has cherished for many years, is to become a music teacher someday, thereby inspiring a love of music in young children.
"My son's dreams were unfulfilled, and now he's gone forever. Why did God take him away so soon?!" Mr. Quang choked up.

Ms. Vo Thi Bich Ngoc, Truc's homeroom teacher in 11th grade, said she is still in shock and grief after the passing of this kind and obedient student.
According to Mr. Ngoc, yesterday morning (May 26), when he heard from some students that Truc had been in an accident and had passed away, he felt completely numb. Even this morning, when the whole class attended Truc's funeral, he still couldn't believe that she was gone.

"How can we accept the heartbreaking truth that a well-behaved, lively student, always actively participating in class and school activities, has passed away at such a young age? Perhaps it will take a long time for the pain of this loss to gradually subside," Ms. Ngoc expressed.
According to Ms. Ngoc, the image of Truc hugging her guitar and singing loudly in the schoolyard during every cultural performance will forever remain a beautiful memory, never fading in the minds of the teachers and hundreds of students at this school.
"Truc was a talented singer and musician. He had many dreams and ambitions, but sadly, he couldn't fight against fate to fulfill them," Ms. Ngoc said, her voice choked with emotion.
As Thanh Nien newspaper reported, at 5:25 AM on May 26th, a truck with license plate 43H - 022.74, driven by Nguyen Dinh Tai (27 years old, residing in Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province), was traveling on National Highway 1 in the North-South direction.
At kilometer 1014+750, in the section passing through Nam Son village (Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh district), the truck collided with a motorbike with license plate 92K3 - 2266 driven by Huynh Van Truc (from My Son village, Tam Anh Nam commune) traveling in the same direction. As a result, Truc died on the spot, and the motorbike was severely damaged.
According to the police in Nui Thanh District, at the time of the accident, Truc was on her way to her part-time job after the summer break.
