As soon as the firecrackers stopped, thousands of people turned and left, leaving behind streets littered with trash. Plastic bags, plastic trash, convenient raincoats... were strewn everywhere.
Against the crowd of people leaving, dozens of young people in white gloves, dragging large bags, began cleaning up the "battlefield".
According to Tuoi Tre Online , after the fireworks finale, around the Han River Bridge area alone, there were 4-5 different volunteer groups working together to collect trash. Not only cleaning up the environment, these young people also prepared signs and portable loudspeakers to warn people not to litter.
Dang Nguyen Minh Thi (student of the University of Economics - University of Da Nang) and the Vanguard team collect convenient raincoats that are left behind. Minh Thi said that this is a regular activity of the team to join hands to protect Da Nang from being green and clean.
"Not only is it the responsibility of each individual, keeping the environment clean is also a way to show love for Da Nang. Through the team's actions, I hope people will realize the importance of protecting the environment and thereby limit littering," Thi said.

Many other groups of young people from universities, colleges, high schools... in the city also joined hands to clean up the trash. Nearly 20 members of the Danang Poly Warrior Club (under FPT Polytechnic College) divided themselves into many small areas along the Han River to ensure the cleanup was quick and effective.
"Seeing the streets clean of trash after each event in the city makes me very happy. We are more motivated when we see many young people also care about protecting the environment," said Bui Van Khoa - head of the Poly Warrior Club in Da Nang.
Even though it was late at night, some young people stayed behind after watching the fireworks to collect trash around the area where they were standing.
Many people believe that these actions, though small, contribute to creating a cleaner and more civilized Da Nang. Therefore, this work deserves to be praised and learned by everyone.
