Officially opened to welcome visitors for free from November 1, the Vietnam Military History Museum has become a favorite destination for many people and tourists. Using many modern display methods, with more than 150,000 artifacts on display in two exhibition areas of about 7,500m² indoors and more than 20,000m² outdoors, the Vietnam Military History Museum has opened a lively space for experience and interaction, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the history of the nation and the history of the heroic Vietnam People's Army. To date, the Museum has welcomed more than 200,000 visitors. However, due to the large number of visitors, with peak days reaching more than 45,000 people, it has led to overload in the reception and security work, ensuring safety for visitors and safety for the project.

At the meeting, delegates assessed and proposed solutions to overcome difficulties, obstacles and shortcomings in management, operation, reception and service of visitors at the Vietnam Military History Museum, especially the museum's timely coordination with relevant agencies to support traffic regulation on the Thang Long Boulevard service road; patrolling and reminding vehicles to stop and park illegally; increasing security patrols to ensure safety for visitors. At the same time, soft fences were added to protect large-scale exhibits displayed indoors, signs prohibiting visitors from climbing on exhibits and display platforms, and additional information equipment was added to ensure quick handling of situations when opening to welcome visitors. Concluding the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet said that the fact that the Vietnam Military History Museum has received the attention of a large number of people to visit is truly a good thing. Because the project has promoted its value, it is truly a place to study and educate about the history of building and defending the country of the nation. Thereby, it contributes to educating the heroic tradition of the nation and the Army, towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, and the 80th anniversary of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army.

In the last two months of 2024, the number of visitors is forecast to continue to increase. Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet requested the Office of the General Department of Politics to coordinate with the Vietnam Military History Museum to develop a plan to welcome visitors in a strict, specific and detailed manner. In particular, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet requested the forces to ensure absolute security and safety for visitors, visitors' property and for displayed artifacts; do a good job of organizing fire prevention and fighting, coordinating rescue and relief operations in case of unexpected situations. Continue to create conditions and support units throughout the army to organize and deploy troops to visit the museum. Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet requested the Logistics Department (General Department of Politics) to coordinate with the Project Management Board to review and urge contractors to urgently complete the construction items of the Vietnam Military History Museum; Requesting the authorities to continue monitoring and providing specific instructions to the Vietnam Military History Museum in overcoming difficulties and obstacles, to implement a synchronous plan and successfully complete assigned tasks.
