Attending the conference were comrade Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; delegates were commanders of a number of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense; and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Taking place over two days (April 14 and 15), more than 230 trade union officials from units and enterprises across the army were introduced to five key topics, including: New points of the 2024 Trade Union Law; basic contents of the Circular promulgating the Regulations on considering and awarding the Creative Labor Award in the Army Trade Union; some basic contents of the Circular regulating the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level in the Vietnam People's Army; new points in the Trade Union Work Regulations in the Vietnam People's Army; some new regulations on trade union finance work.

Within the framework of the training session, delegates participated in a seminar with the theme "Solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of trade union activities in the Army to meet requirements and tasks in the new situation" and extracurricular activities to enhance skills and experience in organizing movements at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh emphasized that, in response to the requirements of the Scientific and Technological Revolution, innovation and the cause of industrialization, modernization of the country, and defense of the Fatherland in the new situation; the Party and the State have implemented many new policies and guidelines to accelerate and make breakthroughs... bringing the country into a new era - an era of development, prosperity, civilization, and prosperity, requiring the defense trade union to continue to be built strong, to meet the requirements of the task, and to truly be the "leader" of union members and workers. Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh affirmed that building a team of union officials with sufficient capacity and qualities to meet the requirements of the task in the new context is a necessary requirement.

With that spirit, the training course to foster knowledge and professional skills of trade unions is a key solution, of great significance to improve the quality of trade union activities in the Army today.

In order for the training conference to achieve its goals and requirements, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh requested the cadres participating in the training to uphold their sense of responsibility, actively research and exchange; analyze and clarify the current situation of the workers' movement and trade union activities; the advantages and difficulties in implementing trade union activities in each type of unit; recommend and propose solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of the workers' movement and trade union activities in the Army in the coming time.

After the training conference, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh requested the National Defense Trade Union Board to direct and guide the team participating in the training course to actively propagate, educate, disseminate, and spread the knowledge, skills, and experiences studied to improve the quality of trade union activities in their units; contribute to building a clean, strong, and exemplary Party organization, a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and exemplary", and excellently complete all assigned tasks.
