The Standing Committee of Bac Kan Provincial People's Council held an expanded April meeting.

Comrade Phuong Thi Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were comrades: Tran Thi Loc, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Dong Van Luu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Thu Trang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council Committees reported the preliminary results of the examination of the draft resolutions submitted at the 27th Session (Special Session), the 10th Provincial People's Council, including the draft Resolution on the policy of rearranging commune-level administrative units in Bac Kan province in 2025; the draft Resolution on the policy of rearranging and merging Bac Kan province and Thai Nguyen province; the draft Resolution stipulating the principles, scope, support levels and use of funds for protecting rice-growing land in the province. The contents were discussed and clarified by delegates at the meeting.

Comrade Dong Van Luu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council approved the expected content and program of the 27th Session (Special Session). Accordingly, the Session will take place in half a day, on April 24, 2025.

The meeting also agreed on the content and agenda of the 28th Session (Special Session). The 28th Session is expected to be held on May 9, 2025. The Provincial People's Council Committees must receive the submissions no later than April 25, 2025. The Provincial People's Council Standing Committee will hold an expanded meeting to review the results of the review on May 8, 2025. The Provincial People's Committee will report on the acceptance and explanation 2 days before the opening.

Comrade Phuong Thi Thanh, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Ms. Phuong Thi Thanh, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, requested the Provincial People's Committee to revise and complete the contents submitted to the 27th Session, promptly complete the contents under the responsibility of the locality regarding the arrangement and merger of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces; and effectively implement the contents of the arrangement of commune-level administrative units. The Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee and units and localities to proactively submit the contents so that the 28th Session can ensure progress.../.
