On the afternoon of July 3, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong visited and worked with the Central Propaganda Department.
Also attending the meeting were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia; leaders of the Party Central Committee's Propaganda Department and the Party Central Committee Office.
At the meeting, Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated that in recent times, the Central Propaganda Department has proactively innovated, created, overcome all difficulties and challenges, well implemented its functions and tasks, and contributed significantly to stabilizing the political and ideological situation, consolidating solidarity and unity within the Party, and social consensus.
Emphasizing that in the coming time, besides advantages, propaganda work is facing great challenges, especially newly arising issues. In order to better promote its role, the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat requested the Central Propaganda Department to focus on performing well a number of tasks.
First of all, the Committee grasps the situation related to propaganda work; proactively advises on Party building work in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics, focusing on summarizing theoretical and practical issues over 40 years of renovation, contributing to the drafting of documents for the 14th National Party Congress; further strengthens information and propaganda work, creating high unity within the Party and society; firmly upholds principles, steadfastly and creatively applies Marxism-Leninism, the goal of national independence associated with socialism, steadfastly adheres to the renovation path, and principles of Party building...
The Committee further strengthens the firm protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fights against and refutes the wrong viewpoints and arguments of hostile forces; resolutely prevents and repels the degradation of ideology, politics, morality and lifestyle of a number of cadres and Party members.
Along with that, strengthen propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions, patriotism, and Vietnamese human ethics to all classes of people, especially the young generation.
The Standing Secretariat also noted that the Central Propaganda Department should continue to focus on leadership and direction, continue to innovate, improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda work; promptly prepare content, develop a "Strategy on propaganda work to 2030, vision to 2045"; build a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus; pay attention to training and planning to ensure a rich and high-quality propaganda team, along with effectively using the existing staff.
The Central Propaganda Department continues to carry out well the work of press planning; strictly maintain discipline and order in press management, ensure that press agencies operate in accordance with their principles and purposes; advise competent authorities to promote digital transformation in Party committees.
Accepting the direction of the Standing Secretariat, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that the Department will make more efforts, determined to overcome limitations; steadfastly and determinedly implement the motto of propaganda work expressed in the 13th National Congress Document, in which Party spirit and combativeness must be higher, education, persuasion and practical effectiveness must be better.
Information from the Central Propaganda Department also shows that from the beginning of the 13th Congress term to now and the first 6 months of 2024, the Central Propaganda Department has proactively innovated the content, methods, and working methods, improved the quality of strategic advice for the Central Executive Committee, directly led by the Politburo and the Secretariat, and effectively directed implementation, achieving many outstanding results.
Accordingly, the Advisory Board assists the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat in Party building work in politics, ideology, and ethics.
Since the beginning of the term, the Committee has proactively developed 55 projects, advising the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, including many large, difficult projects that have been raised by practice and have many new, unprecedented issues.
The Committee also advised the Politburo and the Secretariat to lead and direct the organization of 9 major conferences to study, learn, disseminate, and implement resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations of the Party.
The work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting wrong and hostile viewpoints has been strengthened by the Committee, in its role as the standing agency of the Central Steering Committee 35, promoting positive information, using the good to eliminate the bad; being on duty, preventing and removing bad and toxic information, fighting and handling organizations and individuals with activities against the Party and the State.../.
