According to Chairman of Thuong Tin District People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Minh, National Hero, Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai was a politician, military man, diplomat, poet, and writer of Vietnam in the 15th century. In 1980, on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of his birth, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization recognized him as a World Cultural Celebrity. Inspired by the theme "The Road to the Oath", the image of National Hero - Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai was recreated to show the determination to fight, to win and the peace-loving spirit of the Dai Viet army and people. It raised the principles of using soldiers, understanding the times and situations, analyzing the enemy in Dong Quan citadel and advising surrender, along with promising good things. Finally, the Dong Quan oath and the event of the Ming army withdrawing in December 1427 marked the complete victory of the Lam Son uprising's struggle to regain national independence. From now on, the country will resound with a song of victory - a song of peace and the power of justice.

In recent years, the district has invested in building a flower garden in Thuong Tin town. To create a mark and remind future generations, the district has decided to cast a statue of National Hero and Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai to place in the flower garden.
