(Dan Tri) - No longer giving Tet bonuses in the form of cars or real estate, leaders of real estate businesses all share and try to give enough 13th month salary to employees.
As the Lunar New Year approaches, the Tet bonus is always the most important concern for employees. Real estate prices have increased over the past year, but most businesses and brokerages are still facing liquidity difficulties. Accordingly, the leaders of the units shared that all employees receive a 13th month salary.
A representative of the company headquartered in Binh Thanh District (HCMC) said that it has just announced a 13th month salary bonus and has no other plans. This company has sold more than 1,000 apartments in 2024 in Binh Duong and plans to launch phase 2 with nearly 1,000 products in the second quarter. The positive business situation is the motivation for the company's leaders to maintain the salary and bonus regime for employees every year.
Similarly, a real estate company from Malaysia said it plans to give employees a Tet bonus of an average of 1-3 months’ salary depending on their performance. This year, the investor has implemented 3 projects in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong and recorded a good absorption rate.
On the contrary, some businesses have not yet announced information related to Tet bonuses. Employees of a company headquartered in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City said that this year, the company's situation is more difficult than last year, so it is unclear what the Tet bonus will be. Last year, the company had a 13th month salary policy and an average bonus of 1 month's salary for employees based on performance evaluation.
Mr. Pham Duc Toan - General Director of EZ Property - said that in general, last year 90% of real estate businesses still faced difficulties and had no source of revenue. Only a few investors had products to launch on the market, and very few brokerage floors could sell products. In the past 2 years, there have been no cases of real estate businesses giving houses or cars as bonuses to employees.
"Last year, my company still had to cut many employees. According to the company's policy, we will try to make sure all employees receive the 13th month salary. For sales brokers in particular, the 13th month salary will be calculated based on the average income of the previous year. In addition, the company will organize a year-end party and give Tet gifts to employees," Mr. Toan shared.
He said that the administrative department will be off for Tet according to the State calendar. As for the sales department, some units will be off until the 15th of the first lunar month.

A large real estate company in the North also revealed that the company still maintains the 13th month salary policy as in previous years. In addition, the company still organizes year-end party activities as usual.
The company said that next year will be busier with many large projects in Long An and Bac Ninh. It also revealed the possibility of raising bonds in the international market this year.
In the past year, this company's business activities have been quite positive when it opened a large project in Dong Anh, Hanoi, which is considered a bright spot in the Northern market.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh - Deputy General Director of Investment & Strategic Consulting, Weland Company - said that the Tet bonus situation of real estate businesses this year depends on cash flow and product sales results in the past year.
In the past year, the amount of new products launched for sale was not much, mainly large units such as Vinhomes and enterprises that bought back part of the project from large projects. In addition, many enterprises are still under pressure to pay debts and mature bonds, so the issue of Tet bonuses is still an open question.
Mr. Thanh did not disclose information about his company's Tet bonus. However, the company leader shared that the business of this unit was quite busy last year, with relatively stable business results.
Mr. Truong Giang - owner of a real estate trading floor in Hanoi - said that in the first half of the year, his floor had many transactions. However, in the second half of the year, prices increased so the transaction situation also slowed down. To encourage employees to continue to stick with the floor, he still gives a 13th month salary bonus based on average income in the past year.
He hopes that this year the market will have more stable liquidity and better business results so that he can increase the Tet bonus for employees at the end of the year.
Although the real estate market in 2024 is less gloomy than in 2022-2023, many real estate trading floors and businesses still face difficulties in liquidity when prices are high. Therefore, many businesses believe that the Tet bonus will be added together with the 13th month salary.
