Speaking to reporters, Mr. Ha Tuan Minh, Director of Winner Vietnam International Travel Company Limited, said: The company had a contract to welcome 3 groups of We Love Tour guests on 3 charter flights from February 10 to 14, but on January 31, the company sent a document to cancel the contract because We Love Tour did not pay as committed.

In addition, Mr. Minh also informed: On February 9, a group of 292 We Love Tour guests took a flight to Phu Quoc but had no shuttle, no hotel reservation, and no tour guide.

We Love Tour Company has repeatedly begged us to support the group and for humanitarian reasons, we agreed to arrange 4 buses and rent hotels to serve them. The payment deadline for this is February 11, but We Love Tour has not transferred the money, so we announced the end of the program.

Mr. Minh also reported this incident to Phu Quoc City Police immediately after the incident occurred. At the same time, he reported the incident to the Inspector of Kien Giang Province Tourism Department.

During the process of working with We Love Tour, Mr. Minh also worked with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, the Taiwan Tourism Administration about the situation of the tourist group and the handling plan. Thereby, it was agreed that Winner would collect money directly from tourists, the Taiwanese company would transfer it to the customers when Winner issued an invoice, but many customers did not agree.

However, by February 12, We Love Tour still had not paid, and the Taiwanese side requested support for the second time. After that, Vietnam Winner International Travel Company Limited arranged for 292 tourists to stay at Sailing Hotel to continue their tour in Phu Quoc. We Love Tour committed to paying 4.4 million yuan on February 26, and if payment was not made after that date, compensation would be 1.5 times, Mr. Minh said.

As of February 14, 292 Taiwanese guests will depart from Phu Quoc airport to return to Taiwan and the amount of money his company has spent on the group has been more than 3 billion VND. In total, the company has arranged 4 45-seat buses on February 9, 18 buses on February 10 and 10 people who know Chinese to support... Mr. Minh shared.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai - Chief Inspector of Kien Giang Province Department of Tourism said: The Department has reviewed the incident and is requesting Vietnam Winner International Travel Company Limited to provide relevant documents. At the same time, he invited the company's representative to the Department to work after the Tet holiday ends.

On her personal page, Ms. Huang Chengxi, one of the Taiwanese passengers "stuck" in Phu Quoc, said: We are now safe and continuing our journey. Thank you to the travel company's leaders. Thank you to WINNER for being the group leader; helping us not get stuck in the hotel.
